Announcement    Mapping out the balance (or imbalance) between chaos and order in the world.

SHIPPING DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC:
As of writing this (27th of November 2020):
- Finnish postal routes are OPEN to most of continental Europe plus many large countries such as the USA, Canada, Japan, Russia and China.
- The routes are CLOSED to Australia, New Zealand and most of South America and Africa, among others. If you want to make sure the postal routes are open to your country, please contact me before making a purchase.

*** Also, please keep in mind that the pandemic (and the approaching holiday season) can cause significant delays in shipping times! ***

Stay safe & keep others safe, too.

---

I graduated as a bachelor of fine arts from the Lahti Institute of Fine Arts in 2016; my focus was on printmaking, but I'm starting to warm up to painting again.

These last few years I have focused on different sorts of modular, puzzle-like landscapes and science fiction themes. I've also started making different series of mosaic works that are comprised of tiny, individually painted or collaged plywood squares. The first series was inspired by the Caribbean sea. The second series was a homage to science fiction, custom-made for Worldcon 75.

Feel free to browse my Etsy shop - I make art because I want to make people feel all sorts of (good) things and think and then think some more.

Art is my Medicine

I realized I wanted to make people happy. Make people healed. Make people think and feel and then think some more. The best way for me to achieve this goal is art.

So that is what I did, and that is what I do.

Welcome to Honeyacid & feel free to look around! Just being able to show my art to people makes me happy - even if you decide not to buy anything this time around. Be sure to check back regularly, as I hope to upgrade my selection quite often!

I graduated as a Bachelor of Fine Arts in May 2016, and I welcome all work opportunities. For example, creating commissioned art to suit custom tastes or preferences is quite fine with me - I don't much like riding artistic high horses!

Shipping
DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC:
*** Before making international purchases, please contact me beforehand so I can make sure the postal services are still operating to your country! ***
As of writing this (22th of April 2020), Finnish postal routes are open to most European countries, USA, Canada, Japan, Russia, China and Israel. At the time being, services to all other countries are shut down. Also, please keep in mind that the pandemic will cause significant delays in shipping times.

DO YOU SHIP INTERNATIONALLY?
Yes!

!!! NOTE ON SHIPPING LARGE PAINTINGS - PLEASE READ !!!
Before buying any of my large paintings, please contact me first so I can get you an accurate quote on the shipping cost!

SHIPPING DEADLINE
I try to ship everything within a few days of receiving the order and payment. If there will be a delay for some reason, I will contact you as soon as possible to let you know. I will also send you a confirmation when I've sent your order.

TRACKING / INSURANCE
Unless specially requested, I will not be getting a tracking number for the smaller international packages or insuring them - these extra services are quite expensive here, and paying $25 in postage/insurance for a $4 item would be ridiculous. HOWEVER, if you would like a tracking option or insurance on your package then please convo me before buying, it most certainly can be done!

REGARDING INTERNATIONAL ORDERS
I mail all international orders with a customs declaration sticker on the packaging and the invoice enclosed. Any additional tax-/customs-related fees (such as duties, taxes and customs clearance fees) are the buyer's responsibility.
Additional policies and FAQs
Please note that the frame, glass and/or passepartout that the works are pictured with are never included in the price unless otherwise specified in the product listing.

My hand-pulled prints always come with ample margin for framing. However, sometimes in the case of larger prints I might need to cut the margins a bit narrower than shown before shipping, just to keep shipping costs reasonable.

I reserve the right to use some select information of your purchases in my professional Curriculum Vitae as follows:
- Purchases for private collections and private use: I will mention your country of origin under "Artworks sold to private collections in countries X, Y and Z"
- Purchases for the art collection or use of a business or similar non-private instance: I will mention the name of your business under "Artworks in the collections of X in city/state/country Y"
