Love them. I replaced the backs because I have a terrible time with French hooks -- can't tell you how many I've lost over the years. I keep an inventory of lever backs on hand just in case... Since I replaced the backs, I've hardly had them off!

Gorgeous earrings, very happy, highly recommend
Everyone has a story.
Growing up in coastal Northern California in the 1970's, my nightly bedtime reading included as much Tolkien as it did Winnie the Pooh. I populated the local redwood groves with fairies, enjoyed blackberry bramble adventures and took my tea with dragons. As a maker, I haven't ever strayed very far from those roots, though these days, dragons being somewhat shy, I enjoy my tea with a good book or some colored pencils.
Adornment is an artful way to tell our stories without words. We use it to celebrate our lives, to commemorate our life transitions, and to symbolize our deepest, juiciest, most sacred hopes and dreams. It is meaning, worn. I have always been drawn to adornments that make me feel connected to my essential self, as if I were opening the door to a long forgotten room. Those are the kinds of adornments I try to make for my customers.
I started making jewelry as a hobby in 2005. In 2007, my stay-home-mom world was rocked when my longtime marriage ended and I suddenly had to find a way to support myself, two young daughters, six cats and a very neurotic dog. Harnessing my creative superpowers for good seemed like a good idea at the time. I wanted to teach my daughters that no matter what, you can always pick yourself up and go on. I wanted to show them an example of strength, resilience and joyfully thriving in the face of disaster. Honey&Ollie was officially "born" as a business in 2011, out of those ashes. It has been amazing! In the process of creating a business, I opened the door to a whole new life and found myself.
A self-taught metalsmith, I use skills developed during a lifetime of exploration in the fine art of creating functional and beautiful handcrafts. Deeply influenced by my father’s Celtic background, my designs are also inspired by the Jewish culture and traditions passed on by my maternal grandmother. I utilize archetypal shapes and imagery, mix them up with sparkling gemstones, mixed metals, handmade art beads, vintage or reclaimed textiles, and found or natural elements; I create jewelry that will remind you of one essential thing: you are so much bigger on the inside! I hope that wearing my work will delight your senses, even as it encourages you to fearlessly express who you are today.
Whether you are going back to Never-land or on a grown-up blackberry bramble adventure of your own, each piece of Honey&Ollie jewelry tells a little piece of a larger story. If you don't see something you absolutely love in my shop, let's talk about how I can help you tell yours... with a fabulous piece of custom jewelry!

My pieces are crafted with quality materials and should easily withstand normal wear and tear. I make repairs free of charge for as long as you own your jewelry (or will replace the piece, at my discretion). This applies to all repairs related to normal wear and tear (jump ring breaks, clasp gets sticky, chain breaks, whatever). All you need to cover is postage one way.
However, if your Great Dane got into a tug of war with your toddler (for example) and it came apart under the awesome forces of toddler vs. dog... well that is way beyond "normal wear and tear." I will still gladly repair it for you, but you will be charged for labor and materials.
Cancellation of your club membership before the 15th of the FIRST MONTH that the club starts will get you a refund, less a 30% restocking fee (for supplies and teas ordered in advance).
If you decide to cancel your club membership AFTER the 15th of the month start date you will be charged for any earrings already shipped or in progress - plus a 30% of the total restocking fee.
I don't take returns or exchanges on club designs and I will not make alterations on club designs.
