About

Honey's Hive from the Inside

I started paper quilling when I was only ten years old. One of the first pieces that I made was actually a paper quilled pendant! Too bad I didn't save it. I certainly didn't know that 25 years later I'd be selling paper quilled jewelry!
I started making and selling paper quilled jewelry in 2005 in local markets. I stopped for a couple years and then started creating again after quitting my job to become a stay-at-home mom in 2009. I opened my Etsy shop in 2010 and quickly learned a lot about product photography, tags, descriptions, blogging, and more. As my designs improved I also began selling tutorials which are very popular. I also now have a blog where I share a lot of tutorials and tips for paper quilling. Thirdly I have another online store where I sell a variety of paper quilling paper strips, tools, and related supplies. I mostly sell those within Malaysia where I currently live, but I also have customers worldwide. I love the blend of both sharing/selling tutorials and supplies as well as making/selling my own paper jewelry.
I now consider myself a work-at-home mom. I have two daughters. My eldest enjoys making her own quilling designs alongside me while my toddler enjoys rummaging through a small box of my mistake and extra quilled pieces.
I do most of my work during naptime and in the 2 or 3 hours after bedtime. I love having an artistic outlet in the evenings after sometimes long days of looking after the kids, homeschooling, the house, and cooking. I thank Etsy for helping me start on this journey!

Payment
I accept paypal. You do not need a PayPal Account to pay for your items through PayPal:

You can choose the PayPal Option during checkout. After you submit your order click the “Pay Now” button. Scroll Down and you will see the option to pay with a Credit or Debit Card WITHOUT having to sign up for a PayPal account.

Other: For Malaysian customers I will also accept bank transfers, send me a message for more details.
Shipping
My shipping day is on Saturdays, so your order will be shipped on the Saturday after payment/order is received. If you order a custom order 1-2 days before Saturday, it may have to wait until the next Saturday to be finished and sent.

I ship items as safely as possible. All jewelry, and some other items such as round magnet sets, will come in a small gift box. If you order multiple items, I may use fewer boxes than items, unless you request otherwise. Other items will be in small plastic bags with cardboard as backing if necessary. All items will then be carefully bubble wrapped and packaged either in an envelope or cardboard box.

Packages within Malaysia will be sent via registered post.

Packages being sent to any other country will be sent via registered airmail.

Once I send your package I will send you a message with your tracking number.
This number can be checked via your country's post office website, if it supports registered mail tracking. Packages should take 1-3 weeks to arrive. If your package has not arrived within 3-4 weeks please check your tracking number! Because it is registered mail someone has to sign for the package. If noone is home the postman will leave a note for you. Occasionally this note gets misplaced, someone doesn't get their package, and it gets sent back to me. If you check the tracking number it'll tell you that a notice was left and the package is at the post office where you can collect it.

If a package is marked as unclaimed and is sent back to me you have two choices. I can either re-imburse you the cost of the item(s) minus the shipping, or you can choose to pay shipping again for the item to be re-sent to you.

If you wish to receive your package more quickly, I will send via DHL international. Send me a message if you are interested in this option and I will change the shipping for you. Cost will be approximately US $60 and delivery time will be 2-3 days (but they do not guarantee this due to customs, etc.).
Refunds and Exchanges
I want you to be happy with your order. With custom orders I will always send you pictures before sending the item, to make sure it is to your liking. If you receive your order and have any problems with it, please let me know!

If you are unsatisfied with your order, you may return or exchange it. Send it back to me within 7 days of receiving it. Once I receive the item and see that it is in original condition I will refund the cost (not including shipping) or send you an agreed upon replacement.

If your order has been damaged, please provide a photo to document the damage. I will then provide you with a refund or exchange, your choice.

Any refunds that are made will be minus shipping and, if applicable, restocking fees.
Additional policies and FAQs
I love making custom orders! Send me a message, or click on "request custom item" under my Shop Info. I can make any of my designs in other colors, make new designs, new products, etc. Let me know if you have something you'd like me to create for you! I require full payment before starting on custom orders.
