Absolutely love my little Moon Face!! So unique and well made. Great packaging, quick shipping, and great seller! I’ll definitely be getting some more little guys in the future! Can’t wait to hang him up. Thank you :)

What magical creations these are! I love the artistry of this little dude and his fascinating history. It is a truly unique piece and I am very happy to have in my home. Nicole could not have been nicer and everything arrived as promised. I highly recommend this wonderful shop and can't wait to see what she comes up with next!

As long time buyers (and sellers!) on Etsy, we were thrilled to find this shop. Finding ultra unique gift items on Etsy is getting harder and harder with each passing minute, but these are truly unique and fun and hand-made. Our Wounded King came lovingly swaddled in soft wax tissue, with a special box for his bio. We also discovered that if you use a picture hanger to hang him on the wall you can wedge his bio scroll right over his head so he always has it with him. In that way, he is our first piece of interactive art!

Communication with the seller could not have been more polite, easy and quick and we received it even faster than expected!

We will be keeping an eye on this shop and I am sure we will add to our wall of Hoodudes. Our Wounded King is already starting to look a little lonely.

Choreographer Turns Into A Sculptor

As a dancer and choreographer, musician, and occasional video maker, I've always worked in time based mediums. My work required time, space and other people - all hard to come by these days. I've always had a little yearning to make something that one could hang on a wall and look at any time they wanted. I moved to NYC from Boston and for the first time in over 20 years I didn't have a dance company to run. My body is getting a little older too and so in a completely organic way I found myself redirecting my creative juices into art objects. I have the good fortune of having a hot stud of a painter boyfriend who has been really supportive and a good influence on and resource for making my Hoodudes.
I also have a dog. You might think this is irrelevant - but the truth is, when you have a dog, you WALK. A lot. Especially if you're new to a city. In my first few months here my Portuguese Water Dog, Bell (no e at the end), and I walked up and down Manhattan finding parks, nooks, cool streets, and little bits of nature in the city (I love birds, btw). I started to get to know the trees and plants that live here in Manhattan and I started bringing them in to add onto my Hoodudes. Hoodudes feel like a combination of my love for both urban and natural settings while feeding my rich fantasy life, my addiction to staring at people, my attraction to things ugly and odd and (finally!) providing something I made that I can hang on a wall! I love making them and I get really tickled when someone likes them.
I still dance and play piano. I'm a teacher of both. But I love having Hoodudes as a part of my life too. If you're interested in my dance stuff check this: www.egoartinc.com
