5 out of 5 starsIt took me two tries to get the sizing correct, even though I measured. BUT it was SO worth it!!! I love love love this hat!!! I feel like it was made for me. It’s so cold tonight that I’m wearing it indoors. If anyone needs an XL let me know, LOL. Thank you so much Charlotte!!! An amazing product from an amazing artist!!!! ❤️❤️❤️

5 out of 5 starsLove love love this hat!! It was bigger than I thought - but I think this was my issue not the artists. I am already planning the next one to buy. The inside fleece makes these much more windproof than my other knitted hats. Don't hesitate. High quality and awesome item!!

About hoohats
Hoo Hats are crafted by hand in Portland, Oregon from lovingly rescued wool sweaters. Find us in person most weekends at the Portland Saturday Market!
A tinkerer since childhood in all things arts-and-crafty, Charlotte Cooper discovered her home in haberdashery when she founded Hoo Hats in late 2010. Having designed an experimental one-off, felted wool hat for her 2-year-old, she was inspired by the enthusiastic response she received from moms & tots whenever they ventured out around town. She quickly sewed up a few more, threw them on Etsy, & Hoo Hats was hatched. With their artful, high design aesthetic & a strong reliance on utilizing recycled resources, Hoo Hats is a perfect merger of Charlotte's concern for sustainability & her desire to craft something fresh & original.
Charlotte lives in sunny Portland, Oregon with her long-time best friend & husband Matthew & her own wise little owls, Xavier Shannon, Helena Sage & miss Molly Iona Blythe. When she's not sewing feverishly, Charlotte can be found moving stuff around in her garden, building a tiny house in her driveway, or riding the train to the moon with baby Molly.

Returns and exchanges
Please read and understand our policies and contact us PRIOR to ordering if you have questions or concerns. It is best to take the time to make sure you order the correct Hoo Hat the first time.
We will not exchange a Hoo Hat because it is the wrong size! Ok, maybe we will but we will not be very happy about it. Seriously folks, Hoo Hats come in DIFFERENT sizes. It is important that you know what size you need PRIOR to ordering. Read the product description sizing information and measure your Hoo Head. You've picked out the unique colors and fabrics of your Hoo Hat and the hat that you like can not be made in a different size using the same materials. So please double check that you are ordering the correct size.
Unless there are extenuating circumstances, ALL SALES ARE FINAL. If your Hoo Hat arrives damaged or defective in some way, please contact us to arrange a resolution. At our discretion we may allow a hat to be exchanged if it is in like new condition (but probably not). Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs. Please contact us prior to ordering if you want to purchase insurance for your order.
We are not responsible for packages that are lost or damaged in the mail.
Hoo Hats can be picked up in person in Portland, OR & your shipping costs will be refunded. Email to make arrangements.

CUSTOM ORDERS
Don't see a hat here that you love? Hoo Hats will happily take on custom orders. Since sourcing materials for custom orders can be onerous (remember -our primary materials are upcycled & therefore specific colors/textures can be very hard to come by), all custom hats will be charged a $10 surcharge.
HOO HATS IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY INJURY CAUSED BY THIS PRODUCT.
Extra small Hoo Hats will fit very small baby heads. Babies and young children should be monitored at all times while wearing their Hoo Hats. Hoo Hats have long ties that can be used to secure the hats on small children and on big children when it's windy. Although we have never heard of anyone choking on their Hoo Hat, any string or tie can potentially be a choking or strangulation hazard for babies and small children including the ties on your Hoo Hat. Please use common sense, care and caution.
