5 out of 5 starsFor our 11th anniversary I bought my wife a railroad spike that some guy named Matt beat into a meat stabber. Because nothing says I love you like repurposed railroad equipment. And wouldn’t you know it, she LOVED the damn thing! Said it’s one of the best gifts she’s ever gotten. Thought the twisted handle would feel like grabbing an angry pinecone but says it’s surprisingly comfortable. She REALLY likes the length. Make of that what you will. She can reach the back of the grill without burning her hand. Personally, I’m just happy my knuckle hair gets to live another day. Now MATT at Hooksmithforge deserves his own applause! This guy’s a class act. Kept me updated through every step, from forging to shipping. Incredible craftsmanship, outstanding communication, and clearly gives a damn about his work. Money well spent!

Thank you so much for taking the time to write this! 😂 This might honestly be one of my favorite reviews I’ve ever received. I’m glad the “meat stabber” was a hit, and even happier to hear your wife considers it one of the best gifts she’s gotten. I put a lot of time and pride into every piece that leaves my forge, so hearing you mention the craftsmanship, communication, and whole experience really means a lot to me. Happy 11th anniversary to you both! I hope she gets years of use out of it, the steaks are plentiful, and your knuckle hair lives a long and prosperous life. 😂🔥⚒️ Thank you again for trusting me with her gift and supporting Hooksmith Forge!

Owner, Maker, Designer
My name is Matt, and I love the ways of old time forging. Almost nothing makes me happier than to be in my shop, music blasting, with a hammer in one hand, and a hot piece of steel in the other.
