Wow! What can I say - this shawl is just awesome - I love it! It arrived promptly and was beautifully packaged in pretty tissue and ribbon. Jacqui even wrote out a wonderful description of the symbolism of the shawl so that I may understand the story behind her skilled creation. The colours are amazing - it is simply stunning and a real work of art! Thank you Jacqui - I shall enjoy it very much. Caroline

Absolutely gorgeous, very well made, and got to me much quicker than expected. Jacqui is very good at what she does, and you should all by all of her hooky things! :D

New shawl in progress. This one is inspired by strata and fossil shapes. Its hooked in lovely warm alpaca and wool blend, and will be perfect for chilly evenings at festivals or around the campfire.
Working on a new headband for the shop, in the garden. Loving this warm weather.

About

Wearable and Useable Art.

This journey began with selling various bog standard crochet mainly so I could buy more yarn. Now I travel down a different path, making fabulous freeform creations and art work. I recently exhibited the "Birthing Vagina" a piece created to reflect how motherhood coalesced and birthed my personal political beliefs. The shawl displayed in the shop, is the exhibit piece for an Exhibition on climate change, taking place in Derby in January 2017.

My freeform creations are made intuitively and using eco friendly yarns and notions, be it, repurposed materials, recycled, organic and preloved, and of course with a dusting of magic. Some materials I use are, of themselves not especially eco friendly, but by using them in my creations, I am preventing them from going into landfill.
