Handmade Details for Kickass Days

I grew up flitting from one art project to another. Cutting up cereal boxes to make mazes, decoupaging homes for my doll babies, setting up elaborate countryside scenes for Barbie to cruise through in her pink convertible. None of these projects were big - in fact, they were always quite small. Tiny details that turned things from everybody else's to just mine. And Barbie's.

My love for making and detail found its natural place in wedding planning. When I was pulling together the handmade touches for my big day, days turned into nights and back again before I would ever notice. I was in my element. I get lost in the details, the pretty patterns, the lines, the curves. And just because my wedding is over doesn't mean creating new things has to be.

So I opened Manayunk Calligraphy in hopes that I can help other happy couples make their day as special as possible with the handmade details that make their guests say things like, "Oh, isn't that lovely," or "That is so THEM."

Orders will not be created and/or shipped until payment is received.

All of my items are shipped USPS. All US orders should arrive 2-7 days after shipping; international ship times will vary.

Print orders ship every Wednesday afternoon. Please note: if your order arrives after 10 a.m. PST on a Wednesday, it will not ship until the following Wednesday. Other items, such as mugs, apparel and home goods, are shipped directly from the manufacturer.

If your item arrives damaged, please send a photo of the damaged package AND item via an Etsy conversation so I can submit a claim to USPS. From there, you will send back the damaged item and I will send you a new one.

If you do not receive your package, but USPS has marked it as delivered, the following steps should be taken. First, please contact your local Post Office to confirm where it was delivered. If you live in an apartment building, be sure to check with your neighbors. If your package has not been located AFTER you have taken these steps, please contact me and we will discuss options. Please DO NOT contact me until after these steps have been taken - most of the time, packages can be located this way. Please note that items that are marked as delivered by the USPS, I am not able to file a claim, and cannot be compensated for the work. As such, items will not be replaced free of charge; fees will depend on the item.

Additional policies and FAQs

Custom Calligraphy Orders

All calligraphy orders require 2-3 weeks for completion. The time period starts as soon as the items to be calligraphied (envelopes, labels, place cards, etc.) are received. Any orders that do not fall within this time frame will be subject to a rush order fee of 20% of the total cost. Orders due within one week are subject to a 40% rush fee.

All calligraphy orders should provide an additional 20% of the items to be calligraphied. For example, if you would like 100 invitations, please send 120 - you will only be charged for the 100, but this ensures any smears or smudges can be corrected.
