Empowering Women in Ghana through fair trade work

On January 3, 2012 a small group of women gathered around a fire and a crude wooden table in a rural Ghanaian village to make batik. In the days and months to come, that program would become Premec Creations, a vocational training center for impoverished women. Martha Bulley, a seamstress and single mother, had dreamed for years of how to provide empowerment and hope to women suffering from lack of resources and opportunities. Her dream inspired two American women Amy and Chelsea to join in, and Premec Creations was born.

Since January of 2012 Premec Creations has trained many groups of women in various skills: batik fabric, soap, pomade, bead arrangement, hair dressing, and sewing. In March 2013 a branch center, Adwenpa Creations, was opened in Akikai Doblo. In the same month we also initiated the literacy training program at the Hope Training Institute in Ayawaso.

100% of your purchase from our shop goes directly to the women of Hope Creations in Ghana. Please help empower them to create a brighter future for themselves and their children.
