Announcement   What's in YOUR lotion? If you can't eat it, don't put it on your skin. For years I struggled with eczema and other skin problems. I had major allergic and anaphylactic issues from skin products. Nothing worked on my skin. After being frustrated and full of rashes for many years, and with the recipes of a former cosmetic chemist and a good friend who, like me, is a breast cancer warrior, I decided to make my own lotion bars and lip balms. I have a background in Cosmetology, having gotten my license in high school, so why not? Finally, I found hope. And so, Hope Solid Lotion was born.

I use organic, raw, unrefined, fair trade (when possible) oils and butters in my lotions. I use local beeswax in my bars as a way to support our community. My white shea butter is sourced from a fair trade supplier that supports a womens' collective in Ghana. As I am allergic to nuts and many, many other things, I only use oils and butters that won't send me to the hospital! No coconut, no nut oils of any kind--I can't say allergy free, as many people are allergic to many things, but I stay away from the Big 8. Many of the lotion products out there are wonderful, but would cause great distress if I used them. I know there are others who share my allergic concerns.

If you can't put it in your mouth, don't put it on your skin. Hope Solid Lotion is here for you.

Love the scent! It is so easy to use, feels wonderful on the skin after a shower. For the first time in years, I am eczema free. No itching after a shower. No tight, dry feeling in my problem areas, like arms, legs and hands. I even swipe some on my neck and wrists as a solid perfume. The lip balm is superior, immediately easing my constantly chapped lips. I am allergic to PABA that is found in almost all lip products. The package arrived quickly and loved the packaging of the products themselves. I am a fan for life!

Welcome to Hope Solid Lotion. My skin was so bad in June 2012, my dermatologist called to tell me my early stage breast cancer had progressed to my skin and now was Stage 4. Ten minutes later, my oncologist called crying hysterically, telling me she's, "so sorry." Whoa. Like any sane person, I grabbed my BFF and went out for the largest sundae I could find.

Then something weird happened. The dermatologist called back 45 minutes to tell me it WASN'T Stage 4 skin cancer, it was a rash pretending to be cancer.

Pretending? From what? Apparently, my "natural" skin care regime wasn't as good for me as I thought. It contained lots of allergens. Nuts, sesame, cocoanut. I could not find anything to use on my skin.

Then, a friend who was a cosmetic chemist told me I could make my own. I finally had Hope. Now I can share that with you in the form of Hope Solid Lotion.

Since I started Hope Solid Lotion, my skin has been clearer than it had ever been in my life. It might not work the same for you. My statements have not been verified by the FDA, and I am not a medical doctor. I DO have a Ph.D., a cosmetology license, and years of products thrown out because they don't work. One more thing-- I have Hope. Now you do, too.

Hope Solid Lotion. Dedicated to my sisters in the struggle.
