If I order multiple plants that can fit in the same box, but I’m charged the shipping cost per individual plant packaged in its own box, is there a way to reduce the shipping rate?

Have no fear! It is difficult for Etsy to determine whether plants are able to fit into the same box. We will ship as economically as possible. If we are able to fit your order in less boxes than ETSY calculates, we will refund the extra shipping costs!

I noticed you ship out of Atlanta & live in the area. Is there anyway for me to pick up locally, instead of having to pay for shipping?

The process of picking up locally is not as simple as ordering through one of our shop listings, but we are happy to work with you & make it happen!

ORDERING YOUR PLANTS
In order for us to arrange a local pick up, you will first need to message us about which plants you’d like to purchase. After we have determined your order, we will compile & post a separate listing in our shop that will be reserved for you. This specific listing will be posted free of shipping.

PICKING UP YOUR PLANT
Unfortunately, Horticult is based online without a permanent store front (yet 🤞🏻). Together, we can arrange a time & meeting spot where you can pick up your order.

Extreme weather & shipping

Shipping plants can become complicated quickly. Extreme temperatures, large storms, holidays, & the like can all be reasons for delayed shipping. Please understand we are just as excited as you are for our plant to reach it’s new home & will do everything we can to make sure it gets there in a timely fashion. With that being said, we hope you understand that the shipping of live plants can be difficult & a short delay can make all the difference on you receiving your plant in tip-top shape. If this is the case, we will make sure to explain our reasoning & will stay in touch/keep you updated until your package has been shipped.

Will my plant look exactly the same as the plant shown in the listing?

Here at Horticult we pride ourselves in sending the most beautiful, well groomed, healthy, & large plants we have available. While they may not be the exact plant, we can assure you it will be similar. With that being said, we do our best to update the pictures in each listing as the plants grow larger, change seasonal colors, or differ in any way from their original pictures.

With that being said! We have heard horror stories of people receiving plants that looked nothing like the one pictured in the listing, so we are more than understanding if you request pictures of the exact plants we will be sending & we will do our best to do so in a timely fashion.

Shipping schedules

Shipping can get pretty complicated when it comes to sending live plants. At Horticult, we prefer to ship out orders Monday - Wednesday to ensure our plants spend the least amount of time possible in the box.
FOR EXAMPLE
If you order early on Monday, we will ship out that same day, but if the order is placed later in the afternoon it will go out on Tuesday. If you order Thursday - Sunday, your orders will be shipped out on the following Monday. Please note holidays where the post office is closed may also cause a short delay.

What can I do if the plant I receive is damaged?

Here at Horticult we pride ourselves on our packaging, but sometimes accidents can’t be avoided & plants may end up damaged upon arrival. If this is the case! Please contact us immediately with pictures of your damaged plant — we will accept refunds, returns, &/or replace within 10 days of plant delivery. We always want to you to be happy with your order & will work with you to make sure this happens!

What do I do once I receive my package?

It’s crucial once the package has been sent, you keep an eye on the tracking number. We will do our best to send messages reminding you of the packages whereabouts during its journey. Once the package has arrived at its final destination it is crucial you open the box up & remove your plant! Then next steps are dependent on which plant you have ordered. Generally you’ll want to plant it immediately in soil & begin to watch your plant thrive! More detailed care instructions are listed under each plant listing.

Why do I need to order a heat pack?

When ordering plants during the cooler months please consider the amount of time your package spends in cold temperatures. There are an abundance of reasons your plant may spend a substantial amount of time braving the elements.
In order to prevent damage & ensure your plant arrives healthy we are offering UNIHEAT heat packs to keep your new plant snug & warm.

With that being said, make sure to note the plants you are ordering. While most plants we specialize in require warm conditions, we also offer cold hardy plants. If your order consists of only plants that can stand cold weather you don't have to order one.

Also keep in mind the total number of plants you have ordered. If you have a large order you may need multiple heat packs.

Where do I order a Heat Pack?

There are a few different ways to add a heat pack to your order.
We were able to make it easier by adding a heat pack option to plants that may require one. Where it says "With Heat Pack" you will choose between 2 options:
- No Heat Pack (which will not add any additional fees to the original plant price) OR
- 1 Heat Pack (adding $5 to the specific listing's total).

Unfortunately, we were unable to make purchasing the heat pack that simple for every listing.

Some listings we were unable to add the heat pack variation. If you don't see an area that includes the heat pack addition in the listing, visit the shop & you will find a UNIHEAT Heat Pack listing, which you can add to your final order.

What if I don't order a heat pack?

If you are ordering a plant that needs a heat pack & you haven't done so we will message you 2 times before going ahead & sending the plant. If you do not respond & your plant is damaged upon reception we cannot refund or replace your order.

If you order a heat pack & your plant is damaged we will gladly replace or refund your order with proper notification & in a timely manner :)
