host & toast, co-founded by husband and wife creative entrepreneurs, is both an online brand and an independent design and woodworking studio in Atlanta, Georgia, collaborating with customers both locally and around the world. Both self-taught, David and Carlen explore the dichotomy between time-honored woodworking techniques and cutting-edge design in their self-coined “Relaxed Minimal” aesthetic and lifestyle.

At host & toast, our mission is to design and build high quality pieces with aesthetic, conscious consumerism, and quality as the heart of our brand. Trends will come and go, but timeless pieces designed and manufactured with thought, care, and precision will withstand the test of time. We currently predominantly design and produce smaller scale items to ship globally, but as we grow, our vision is to expand into larger scale furniture pieces that can be passed down for generations. We desire to offer a full line of high-quality household pieces that focus on the importance of buying once.

We are so glad you found our shop! We are a husband + wife team, designers, hand-makers, party enthusiasts, who want to enhance your celebration with eye-catching decor and personalized gifts. In short, host & toast is an outlet for the creative bride and groom (or hosts!), a place where you can bring your ideas, and we will make them a reality. We absolutely LOVE taking on custom projects, so shoot us a convo. Cheers!

To make things as convenient as possible, we accept payments via Paypal, Etsy direct checkout, and Etsy gift cards.
Once you purchase items, we build, finish, and ship most items within 5-7 business days of clearing your payment. (Some custom orders, like large custom signs, may take more time, depending on our production schedule. Feel free to ask if you have questions about timing.)

As soon as we ship your order, you will receive an email confirmation, including a tracking number, regardless of the shipping method. Please note: all packages are picked up via the respective carrier 1 business day (sometimes 2 business days) after the shipment is processed.

We typically ship USPS Priority or FedEx Ground within the Continental U.S. depending on the size and weight of the item. When shipping international orders, your item will be shipped USPS First Class International, or USPS Priority Mail International if over 4 lbs. Please keep in mind that customs fees and taxes are the responsibility of the buyer. Delivery times vary based on where you live.

What you can generally expect once your order ships:

USPS Priority: 2-3 business days
USPS Parcel Select: 2-5 business days
FedEx Ground: 3-5 business days

USPS First Class International: 10-20 business days
USPS Priority Mail International: 6-10 business days

Please note that customs clearance, US and international holidays, and other unexpected circumstances may delay your package. We have little control over such circumstances, but we will do everything we can to resolve shipping problems in your best interest.

Items are shipped from our Atlanta, Georgia studio to the address on your Etsy account. If you’d like us to ship your order to a different address, please convo us or email us at orders [!at]
Refunds and Exchanges
If you have concerns about your order, please reach out to us directly by convo or email...we want to make things right! We will ultimately accept returns on non-customized items received in their original condition. Items must be postmarked within 14 days of delivery; once the items are received and inspected, we will refund the full value of the item. However, we can’t refund the original shipping charges. The return shipping is also at your expense.

Q: Do you offer custom wording, finishes, colors, sizes, etc?
A: YES! We love when customers take ownership in designing products for their weddings and homes. Shoot us a convo; we would love to hear your ideas!

Q: When will I receive my item?
A: Refer to the Shipping section of our Shop Policies for exact timing. We ship both USPS and FedEx depending on the size and weight of your item.

Q: I'm getting married next week. Is it possible to receive my items by my wedding?
A: Most of the time, yes, but please reach out via email or Etsy convo BEFORE purchasing the listing. We will do our best to get your items to you in time!

Q: Do you offer discounts?
A: Sometimes we offer promotions via Instagram and Facebook! Be sure to follow our social media accounts to stay connected with present and future offerings.

Q: Are your items available for wholesale?
A: We take applications for retailers via email. Holler at us, and we'll send you our Wholesale Information Packet.
