Announcement   Kedu.* Welcome to my humble little part of the Etsy world. I hope you will enjoy wearing my work as much as I relish making it.

Although it should go without saying, I'll say it anyway- I fabricate each piece you see. I really dig enamel, fibers, copper, found objects, sterling silver, brass, cold connections, soldering, paper, ceramic beads by Elaine Ray and so much more. I wouldn’t call myself a mixed-media artist…yet; I am working on it. Follow me on my journey and see what develops. Although I am always trying something new I am inextricably hooked on enamels. I am constantly learning and applying the possibilities of glass on metal! Check out my profile to learn more about my collections.

Check this space for show announcements. I am a founding member of The Handmaidens. We produce The Handmade Market twice a year in May and November. We host a show with some wonderful artists who I admire and know will become favorites of yours.

Hi, n nThese were going to be a birthday gift. The new earrings are nice, but the pearls appear larger than the ones that I purchased. The previous earrings appeared to be more delicate. Also, I will not be able to send the earrings to my Sister-in-law in time. You're very gracious to offer a pendant to go along with the earrings, but based on my previous comments, I prefer a full refund. I hope to see you and your lovely jewelry at a craft fair sometime soon. Thank you and take care...

Thank you for stopping by my little corner of the Etsy-verse.

I do not have any grand explanations for my work; I design simply because I love to make jewelry. All things botanical, the ability to manipulate metal, unexpected pairings, and texture are just some of what drives my creativity.

I have parlayed my inherent sense of color, form, and drape to turn stones and metal into not so delicate wearable gardens and femininely strong accessories.

I hope you will enjoy not only perusing hothouse posey but also owning my work as much as I enjoy making it.

Your jewelry is shipped ready for gifting. Keep it for yourself or give it to someone special.

I inspect all items prior to packing and shipping.

All orders are shipped to your Etsy address. If the destination is not this address you must enter this information in ‘Notes to the Seller’ to make the change.

Domestic shipping is always via USPS with delivery confirmation and insurance. If you would prefer an upgraded delivery, please convo me.

Refunds and Exchanges
My goal is to make you happy. I take great pride in my work. I want you to enjoy it enough to return to hothouse posey again and again.

Highly stylized custom orders are not eligible for refunds or exchanges.

What I am responsible for:
• Faulty craftsmanship – I will fix broken wire, faulty solder joins, sharp edges, etc.
• Shipping the incorrect item- Silly me, irritated and disappointed you. I will fix that pronto…My apologies.
• Since I know when you received your package, you have 24 hours to let me know of any issues. I really do want to make you happy.

What I am not responsible for:
• Mis-delivered mail
• Damaged merchandise due to Postal negligence – USPS machinery can sometimes damage packages. (If your jewelry is mangled, see below for options.) Insurance to cover your item is included with the cost of shipping. If you require more insurance, let me know. The additional insurance cost will be added to your revised invoice.
• Jewelry can be fragile and should be handled and stored with care. Broken jewelry caused by Joe Jr., Little Ellie, or Rover is unfortunate but not my doing. Fear not; see additional info below for what to do.

(I test much of my craftsmanship using a tried and true method called The Preschooler System.* If my kids can't ruin it then you shouldn't be able to either.)

Additional policies and FAQs
FAQ’s

Q: Will you make an item for me exactly like what you made for my friend?
A: Probably not. I get bored easily, but that flaw in my character will benefit you. I will create a piece that is similar but not an exact replica. Since the stones in each piece are ones I have amassed over the years, I cannot guarantee an identical piece. In addition, I am quite fond of creating one –offs or series pieces so we can work something out in that vein.

Q: Is your jewelry hypoallergenic?
A: Some of it is. The enameled pieces are glass over copper. I do lacquer my copper pieces to avoid the turning green factor. If you are sensitive to certain metals convo me. We’ll see if we can create a new listing with what you need. Some substitutions will incur an additional fee.

Q: Will the copper turn my skin green?
A: It could. I do add several layers of lacquer to any parts of my jewelry that may contact your skin.

Q: Can I request length changes?
A: Yes. No problem. This may or may not require a new listing.

Repairs-

Please let me know, within 24 hrs of receiving your package, about any damages. In the case of broken stones, substitutions may occur since I use random stones from my collection. I will stay with the original stone type but not necessarily the shape. I will do my level best to recreate a piece that is even more luscious that what you originally purchased.

Craftsmanship errors are fixed free of charge.

Mishandled pieces will be repaired at your cost. We will discuss the fee through convos

Jewelry Care

• Enamel is glass. It can be fragile. If you drop it on the floor you could fracture or break your jewelry.

• Keep your piece(s) in a jewelry box or hang on a jewelry tree

• Apply make-up, perfumes, hairsprays, lotions, etc., BEFORE putting on any type of jewelry. These items will ruin your cherished adornments.

• DO not use jewelry cleaner on any hothouse posey jewelry. Although much of my work is enameled, there are components or entire pieces of my work that are patinated and meant to have a worn appearance. Most cleaners leave a residue that is harmful to pearls and some stones.
