Welcome to the hot toffee shop.

I started fusing glass in 2003 when I lived in Japan. I bought a tiny kiln and on my return to Australia it came too! I set up a home based studio and attended a fantastic local market for 12 months. This was the perfect platform to share my creations and find out what designs and colors people were drawn to.

I fire my glass up to 800 degrees and some of the initial glass I fused looked like toffee, so 'hot toffee' is the name I work under.

I strive to create high quality products. I am always trying new color combinations and designs so please check back often.

Some photographs have been styled and taken by Sandrine from @Image In Café. Sandrine is wonderful to work with. If you've been thinking about getting your product shots done by some I recommend chatting to Sandrine.

I photograph most of my pieces in natural light and try to show them from varying angles to indiacte how they reflect light. Different shades of red or blue in the one piece are difficult for my camera to read. If you would like to see a particular piece from a different angle than already shown please contact me.

I started a blog at the beginnning of 2008 as a way to share some of what goes on behind hot toffee as well as to show some of the work by other artists and designers.
