About

“Some people are so much sunshine to the square inch.” - Walt Whitman

Sewing and design have always been in my life. When I was little, my mum would create fantastic costumes for me, and every birthday party I had was themed and complete with a matching outfit. She would tell me stories about a fairy named Hellie, and probably spent more time describing the outfits than the adventures! So it seemed only natural when I started to design and create for myself. I experimented and created many different garments, from adult clothing to costumes, but realized I had found my true love when I started creating children’s clothing.

A little bit of my personality can be found in all of my designs – puffy skirts and ruffles are especially close to my heart. I love mixing vintage inspired things more modern preppy and shabby chic styles. Peter Pan collars, floral prints, and twirlable skirts are all staples of design to me! All of my creations use professional finishing techniques such as French seams, partial and full linings, and double-folded hems.

I aim for my designs to be sturdy enough to last, but pretty enough to be shown off, so quality is very important to me. I aim to meet and exceed your expectations, but if any problems arise, please contact me and I will do my best to fix any and all issues. House of Strawberries is a shop filled with dreamy designs with everyday durability. I strive to make my dreamy and beautiful, but still practical and durable. I make sure to use quality fabrics, such as 100% cottons. Everything found in the store is designed and created by me.

I hope you’ll enjoy your visit and please feel free to contact me with any questions! I do create custom orders for the extra special garment, and the clothing care instructions can be found on my policies page.

Frequently asked questions
Sizing details

Please see the size chart on the last photo of every listing to pick an accurate size! If unsure about which size to pick, please contact me or choose the larger size - it is much easier for a child to grow into a garment as opposed to fit one that is too small!

Care instructions

Shirts should be washed inside out, on a delicate setting, and hung dry. Do not iron. For our handmade clothing, I suggest spot cleaning or hand washing. This ensures your garment can be worn time and time again! However, if you decide to run it through your washing machine, try using a delicate setting or placing it in a delicate garment bag. Please note some shrinkage may occur after machine washing. I do not take responsibility for items damaged in the washing machine.

Additional Policies

Please read my shop policies before purchasing. Consider ordering your garment a size up so your child can grow into their garment, and get the most wear out of it. I make every effort to display accurate colors in my photos, but please be aware that different monitors may display colors differently than others and so color may not appear exactly as it does in the photo.

All items come from a smoke-free home. There are two cats present, but they are not allowed in the sewing room.

If you have any problems with your order, please contact me before leaving a negative review! Your satisfaction is very important to me and I will work hard to fix any issues you may have.
