sew far sew good
My grandmother gave me her 1950's sewing machine when I was very young. I didn't think much of it then, but now couldn't be more grateful. My interest in sewing developed into a passion and I'm happiest when I'm feeding fabric through the foot of my machine, listening to the hum of the motor.
In the 9 years that I have been sewing I have made several traditional quilts that follow by the book type patterns, but as I've grown with my talents, I'm starting to hone in on what matters most to me.
I love randomness. Growing up I was obsessed with numbers and patterns and loved discovering how they are made. Now, I'm honestly a little turned off by patterns and "correctness" because that it's what I've been taught to look for and create.
Most of my quilts lack a pattern. I strive to make each quilt unique and special in its own way. On rare occasions I will make something using a specific pattern, for the simple fact that; if all of my quilts lacked a pattern, that in itself would represent some sort of consistency.
Overall, I love sewing. It is a great escape from reality as well as a good way to relax and take my mind off real world matters. It's what makes me happy and I hope my page makes you happy too!

Owner, Maker, Designer, Curator
My mother taught me to sew at the age of twelve. I have made several traditional quilts, but more recently I've been dabbling into a more creative style. It's unique and definitely my own! I truly love what I do.
