It's all about the sheep.

hubbard handspun is where I sell wool raised here on our farm in Oregon. We have a flock of 400 ewes and a herd of almost 100 cattle. Our ewes graze on irrigated pasture in the summer and alfalfa hay in the winter.
Around 40 of the sheep are coated to produce clean soft handspinning fleeces. The coats are expensive and add much to the labor. But the end result is worth it.
I am also a spinner, knitter, felter, dyer. I know the joy of a fresh shorn fleece. I love the musky smell and the heavy feel of raw wool. I've spent years visiting with other wool growers and listening to judges at wool shows. I read what spinners are saying about fleeces on the internet so that I can continue to learn.
Every year has it's challenges; the weather, health issues with the ewes, coats that don't work right. It's hard work, frustrating at times. But I see beauty every day and I wouldn't want to be doing anything else right now. Each day I get to work with the sheep is a blessing.

I sell wool that I like to work with. Spinning, knitting, dyeing, felting are all activities I adore. I'm lucky to be surrounded by sheep and I offer that love to you.

My husband patiently helps me with the endless task of changing sheep coats and he does our shearing.
