Announcement    Welcome to my Shop where you will be sure to find adorable accessories for kids of all ages! I love creating special items for those memorable events in life. Though I am Mom to my amazing 4 growing boys, I do work full time selling through Etsy, local markets as well as wholesaling. Hugabug Kids, offers a mixture of adorable items that are made by me and my staff and occasionally partner with outside manufacturers to help produce our designs. I love blending vintage themes with modern trends. My goal is to provide professionally made products to my customers that I'm not only excited about, but I would buy too!

All US purchases will now be shipped out of New York! This will allow us to offer "TRACKING" info and FASTER SHIPPING times (4-6 business days) anywhere in the US - Hooray! *All Canadian purchases will still be shipped auto express with tracking from Eastern Canada. (5-7 business days).

My little "Hugabug", from Challenge to Inspiration

After having 3 beautiful boys in a 3 year period, my husband and I were done. Life was a wonderful blur of diapers and laundry, kisses and cuddles. But...when my youngest of 3 was heading to school, I had that "baby craving" and just knew that there was one more baby to add to our family. Naturally, being a mother of all boys, I had (not so secretly) wanted a little girl to call my own. Someone to make beautiful dresses for and express my "girly" side with. I found myself daydreaming about her, and so when my son Nathan was born, I was a little shocked. (o.k.I cried) It didn't help that Nathan was not your average baby. He was very tiny and had no hair anywhere. He also had very thin, red angry looking skin and he cried all the time. 6 months later we found out that Nathan has a very rare (10 people worldwide) disorder that affects his skin, hair, eyes and growth. With already having an older son affected with Autism and PKU, I struggled to find meaning to it all. Why? But that was the wrong question. The right question was What...what could I do right now to be the best Mom for him, to meet his needs.
I can't remember when I started creating hats for him, but it began as a need to cover his head and shield his sensitive eyes. It wasn't long before Nathan had a hat to match every outfit, even pajamas! The cuter the better :) I suppose it was all part of my journey to acceptance of this precious little boy that is now the highlight of my life. He is my "Hugabug". It has become my mission as a Mom to build self esteem, confidence, character and Godly wisdom into all of my boys. It hasn't been easy, but along the way, we all find outlets to sooth our souls, and make peace with unexpected twists along our paths. Hugabug Kids is mine. I LOVE to create beautiful things for my kids and others. Over the years my interests have grown from Hats to Dresses, Onesies, Totes, Slippers and the list keeps growing. My local orders and craft shows have allowed me to stay at home with my wonderful boys while indulging myself in making adorable and even "girly" things.

Therapy comes in all sorts of forms, mine comes in colorful folds of fabrics, fibers and the humming of a my favorite machine.

Welcome to my Shop! I take great pride in making my items because I'm passionate about what I do. It is my goal to create huggable children's items that are cute and original - I try my best to come up with ideas that are just a bit different than what's already out there. I Have over 20 years of sewing experience and I only ship out items that measure up to my high workmanship standards. Selling on Etsy, is a "full time" occupation for me. I love designing, creating and working with other artisans to create products sold by Hugabug Kids and I truly hope you'll love them too!

Returns and exchanges
Refund Policy:
I do not accept refunds on purchases made, but I do want you to be happy with your purchase. If you are unhappy with a purchase, I am always willing to work with customers to make it right. Either sending a replacement, or working with you to fix the problem.

If am item arrives damaged:
I am not responsible for any damages your item may have incurred during shipping. I take great care to package my items very carefully to ensure they arrive safely and unspoiled. If you would like to purchase additional insurance for your package, please contact me.

Lost Items:
If an item is Lost in shipping for over 6 weeks and efforts to track it down have been unsuccessful. I would be willing to send a replacement item or cancel the original transaction.
Payment
Payment is due immediately upon purchase. I accept Paypal, most credit cards and Etsy gift cards.
Shipping
We ship most packages via USPS "Air mail" unless otherwise specified. This shipping method does provide "Tracking info" to most countries. Hugabug Kids is not responsible for items that are "lost in transit". If an item is returned to us due to incorrect address. We can refund the amount of a "Non personalized" item (minus the shipping cost).
*Please double check that your address you have on file with Etsy is up to date before placing your order.

Because Hugabug Kids has a "Canada Post business account", our Canadian customers will be automatically upgraded to express shipping (2-7 business days) and tracking info and insurance up to $100 value is provided.

Once your item has been shipped, you will receive an Etsy message letting you know.

Approximate Shipping Times:

Within Canada - 2-7 business days
To the US - 4-10 business days
International - 6-14 business days

Not fast enough? If you require your item fast - you can upgrade shipping to express or Purolator (overnight). Please contact me for "shipping" upgrade options.

Non Canadian customers may be charged a "Custom fee" upon receiving your item. Buyers are responsible for any associated fees or duties incurred.
