About

Exceptional paper craft items and seasonal elements

Welcome!
Hi, Welcome to Hyde Park Hill, a place where you can purchase paper craft, fused glass, and handmade pottery. Some items are elegant and some are whimsical, all are original, one of a kind designs. Check back often for new offerings.

I have been crafting since a child and my skills have developed and grown over time. I am a former elementary school teacher and now, I am a stay at home mom. Crafting in the quiet of my studio has been my sanctuary after a busy day. I am blessed!

My home based paper & glass studios are pet free and smoke free. Well, my son brought me a lady bug the other day, so I am not sure about it being pet free at the moment. :) I am pleased to say my efficient studios were set up with repurposed office furniture from the Habitat for Humanity Restore in Milwaukee and Waukesha, WI. Filing cabinets, countertops, flat files from there have all been put to use for my many dies, paper, stamps, ink, embellishments, ribbons, glass, and shipping supplies! My pottery is all made by me in a local studio called: The Potter's Shop, here in Wisconsin. I am thankful my husband is handy with all things industrial, mechanical and electrical :) We work well together.

On the back of each card and on each piece of pottery is my shop stamp/logo. It features a swallowtail butterfly. One summer a few years ago, we found six swallowtail caterpillars in our garden chewing on our fennel plants. Our family watched them go through all the amazing stages of metamorphosis and took pictures at each stage. When they hatched into butterflies, my mom was nearby and one of them landed on her shirt. I snapped a photo and now use that image in my shop logo.

Happy shopping and again, welcome to Hyde Park Hill!

Sincerely,
Eileen

Shipping
Shipping
I ship items USPS First Class or Priority Mail or Priority Mail Express. I take care to wrap items securely so they are protected during shipments. You may also pick priority mail or priority express mail. In some cases items ship priority mail and you can choose priority mail/express, if needed.

Cards: small (4 1/4" x 5 1/2") or large (5" x 5" or 5" x 7" or 6" x 6") dimensional cards, will be in a lovely embossed box with a clear lid. If it is a shape card that is a different size, or a flat card with an envelope (for example: a watercolor painted card) it will be in a clear, archival safe cello bag that is sealed.

Pottery/Glass: individual pieces are wrapped in bubble wrap and then boxed and boxed again, with bubble wrap, lots of bubble wrap.:) (trust me, no one wants broken pottery/glass, not me, not you, not the post office).

All cards & pottery have my store logo/stamp on the backside.

Shipments are sent out within 3 business days after payment is received. I ship Monday-Friday, excluding holidays and weekends. For example, if you place your order on Friday, it will be shipped on Monday or Tuesday.

Most of my packing/shipping materials are from a local company's recycle bin and have been donated to my shop, but rest assured they are good condition and will provide adequate protection for your items. *reduce, reuse, recycle :)

International shipping: At this time, I am not shipping internationally.

Shipping costs include postage, padded envelope or box and going to the post office with your package full of loveliness! :)
Refunds and Exchanges
Refunds and Exchanges:
My handmade items will have certain imperfections in them because they are handmade. I try to photograph them as honestly as possible so you can see all the little details, but I do know that sometimes a photograph is no substitute for the tangible item. If you are completely unsatisfied with your item, please contact me immediately so we can resolve the issue. Unfortunately, I am not able to refund return shipping costs, and I am unable to process a potential refund until the item is received back and found in good saleable condition. Thank you for your understanding.
