This is gorgeous! Looks exactly like the photo. Great quality and securely packaged. I drink more water now because of this bottle. I'll definitely order more in the future. Highly recommended seller.

About

Hydrosphere

I have a profound love and respect for the natural world, and I strive to honour the earth as I journey through life.

I am primarily a watercolour artist (you can see my watercolours here: https://www.etsy.com/shop/DeepColouredWater ), and painting on recycled glass has become my latest, and favourite, project.

I greatly appreciate colour. I mix my own colours using food grade enamel, and then I add them on, piece by piece.

This form of painting takes a significant amount of time since I add each detail by hand, and piece it together. Once finished, I cure the bottle with high heat to set it, which renders it hard and gives it the "stained glass" effect.

Using recycled and repurposed glass means that much less energy and resources are being used since no new materials are being created. In other words, it means taking less from the earth, yet still celebrating all her beauties, and colour, through artwork.

These water bottles are functional pieces of art. They are perfect for earth lovers, art admirers, and those who enjoy drinking from glass. The thick lightweight glass ensures durability as well as portability.

Since these bottles are liquid tight, they also work beautifully as storage jars, flower vases, and tea light lanterns.

Thank you for taking the time to visit. I am honoured to share my work with you, and I am inspired to know that I am not alone in my journey of loving the earth.

Shipping
Bottles are securely PACKAGED in recycled material. Respecting the environment is important to me. I either purchase 100% post consumer cardboard, or re-use packaging material.

I include a write up about the bottle, as well as the invoice/order form in the package.

I love sending gifts! If your order is a GIFT for someone, please let me know if I should leave the invoice out. Also, I am happy to include a special note or card with your gift shipment and look forward to creating this little addition with you. Please let me know your ideas.

I SHIP bottles nationally and internationally via standard delivery.

*****************************
EXPECTED DELIVERY TIMES as stated by Canada Post Delivery Standards:

Canada: 7 Business Days
USA: 8 Business Days
All other countries: 10 Business Days

IMPORTANT: Please note, these are expected delivery times, and are not guaranteed. Shipping internationally can take a considerable amount of time. The majority of my shipments reach their destination within one week, however, I have had shipments take 6 weeks to arrive. There are a variety of factors that might contribute to delay. I am in Canada and if you are in another country the order might be temporarily held up in customs. Also, delivery times are dependent upon destination (your proximity to an urban centre, border crossings, etc).

IF DELIVERY TIMES ARE IMPORTANT TO YOU: I am happy to ship your order expedited/express/priority, etc. Please contact me about available options to upgrade. Generally, there will be an additional shipping cost.

*****************************
The SHIPPING FEE includes all the shipping and handling costs (shipping rates, packaging supplies, time associated with packaging and post office, etc).

Please DOUBLE CHECK YOUR ADDRESS BEFORE SUBMITTING your order. If you have supplied me with an old address or the wrong address on your Etsy order and the shipment is returned to me, please understand that I will need to re-bill you a second shipping charge to reship. If an error has occurred on my behalf, I will cover the costs to re-ship.

For CUSTOM ORDER: it generally takes a few weeks to create a bottle. I will ship the custom order as soon as it's finished. Please convey if you have a specific deadline prior to placing your order.
Refunds and Exchanges
Giving you the best product I can is important to me. I want my customers to be happy with their product - please CONTACT ME if you have any questions BEFORE making your purchase.

If you are unsatisfied with your order once you receive it, please let me know before leaving feedback so that we can work something out.

If you don't like a particular bottle you decided on, I am happy to exchange it. The bottle should be returned in the original condition and packaging within 7 days of receipt. Please contact me prior to returning. The customer is responsible for all shipping costs.

Please understand that there is no refund or exchange on custom work, therefore I encourage you to communicate all your ideas and expectations before I begin a custom piece for you.

CUSTOM ORDERS

I prefer to work with artistic freedom. This means that you can pick a subject matter (eg. flower, heart, leaf, etc), a colour theme (if you have one), and leave the rest up to me. This is only a preference, and I am still very willing to work with you to construct a piece of art if you had something more concrete in mind. Providing reference photos, and pointing out which of my bottles you like the best, can be very helpful in this case.

Please note that it generally takes a few weeks to create a bottle. I will ship the custom order as soon as it's finished. Please convey if you have a specific deadline prior to placing your order.

A note on BOTTLES:

I am refurbishing bottles: I am recycling glass bottles that previously contained organic vegetable juice (from a juicery my partner managed) as a way to minimize environmental impact, cut down on the production of new materials, and create something beautiful out of an already fabricated container.

While I do my best to choose bottles with minimal surface blemishes, and then clean them extensively, please bear in mind that since they are recycled bottles they might have small blemishes on the glass. These blemishes add to the uniqueness of the product and celebrate their journey. They remind of the importance of conserving raw materials and energy, reducing the need to consume precious resources, and most importantly, protecting natural habitat.

I look forward to sharing my art with you!
