    Translation for fun.

    Sometime in 2011 I tried googling how to write things in Hylian, There was no one out there who was translating it at the time. In my research I discovered that there are four types of Hylian, two of which are character to character translations of Japanese and the other two are character to character translations of English.

    What that means is Hylian has a symbol for every English or Japanese letter.

    So with that in mind, I decided to start translating Hylian for those English speakers who don't know a lick of Japanese. I started by writing things that I thought people would like to see. Wisdom, courage, power... Hero of time... ocarina... Things like that. It was good practice for me as a student of the language and after a while it started to catch on and I was getting requests.

    After a year or two I started getting requests for things like tattoos, crafting projects, and birthday cards. My mom was the one who told me to start charging for requests. I never felt that people were asking me for too much of my time and I would feel guilty giving them a bit of information in exchange for money. So instead, I bought a button maker and started photoshopping something tangible.

    I intend to add more goods as time goes on, but for now... let me share my hobby of translation with you. For more Hylian, see my tumblr blog!
