Vanaf 1990 onder de naam Advanced Material Concepts, Inc. herkende hij al snel de vraag naar betere kinderverven, wat leidde tot de ontwikkeling van Colorations Activity Paints. In de volgende zeven jaar bracht Colorations een revolutie teweeg in de wereld van kinderkunstmaterialen en was een van de toonaangevende ontwikkelaars en marketeers van kunst en ambachten in de educatieve, speelgoed-, geschenk- en stationaire markten. Het bedrijf en Joel ontvingen nationale erkenning en ontvingen talloze prijzen voor productontwikkeling en uitmuntende verpakkingen.

As an active member of ACMI (Arts & Creative Materials Institute) for many years, Joel Goobich was an active participant in many of the guidelines adopted by the organization for product packaging and safety.
