I ordered another 40 cards and they arrived so quickly. A very very nice seller. I will visit again. Thank you so much!

The front of this necklace is just as pictured and really adorable! All of the sides and back, however, look unfinished and are just raw, rough wood. I think coating the entire piece with resin would greatly improve the quality.

It must be nice to be a bird

When I would go on vacations with my family in the summers and Christmas, it was sort of a tradition for me to pick out one special piece of jewelry and my parents would purchase it for me. I would look and look for something unique and interesting. One year it was a pair of hand crafted silver earrings shaped into jacks. I went back to the store every day to look at them until I finally decided to pick them. Another year it was a real lady bug inside of a glass dome fixed to a sterling silver ring. Uniqueness and creativity is in my childhood and being raised by two creative parents it seems inevitable that my path would be filled with such things too. When I make my pieces I strive to have them exude creativity and hope that there are other creative souls out there hunting for something truly unique and that they feel satisfied when they choose to take a piece of my art and call it their own.

All of the wood I use in my pieces has been recycled over and over again. Possibly hundred of times. The wood comes from wine barrels collected from the winery my Dad works at. When the wine barrels can no longer be used they become available for other uses, such as my jewelry. I take apart the barrels and turn them into my wooden frames. The wood smells so good and I love that in 10, 15, 25 years when I smell a wine cork or step into a winery I will be reminded of creative days.

I love designing so much, it gives me so much satisfaction to sit down with a hot cup of coffee, listen to music and just let my paintbrush, hands and mind run free. My favorite part of working as a designer is creating new pieces and sharing them with my family, friends and admirers. I get so excited to show off what I've created, especially when it is something particularily unique.

I draw inspiration from my parents and fellow artist friends, my beautiful country and the wildlife it houses, music, film and books. Inspiration can come from the funniest places sometimes, but often that is the most powerful idea, when something is unexpected.

I want to thank you for taking the time to read about my work and I would encourage you to send me any questions you may have. You may also want to check out my blog : www.itmustbenicetobeabird.blogspot.com where I like to write about my life, my work and my process. Again, thankyou for reading and I hope you have a wonderful day.
