Very pleased with the dress ...exactly as pictured and it was wrapped so sweetly. There was a minor hiccup with PayPal but, with a team effort, we were able to get it resolved. Excellent communication. Would definitely shop with Ian and Marla again and recommend to others.

Ian Drummond Vintage - Where Ian Drummond Collection Works for YOU
There wouldn't be an IDC anything without Ian - it all starts with him.
Ian has been a passionate collector of vintage clothing since the early 1980s, at first just shopping for himself in Toronto’s Kensington Market, and then everywhere to stock his first vintage clothing store, 20th Century Frox.
Along with building the Ian Drummond Collection, he has also worked in the Toronto film industry. A member of IATSE 873 since 1997, he’s worked as an assistant costume designer on HAIRSPRAY, and on CINDERELLA MAN as the extras coordinator – he was responsible for the costuming of 3000+ background performers in each film. As well, Ian was the wardrobe buyer on CHICAGO, an Oscar winner for costume design. To this day he's enjoying every chance he gets to help Colleen Atwood make her magic - most recently sending hundreds of pieces of 20s and 30s menswear to London for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.
Through all of these productions he has gained invaluable knowledge about what works in the realm of vintage clothing for film and television, and keeps all this in mind as he shops for the collection.
When asked why he got into the rental business his answer is simple.
“It satisfies two urges: to shop AND to keep!”
But even with a 10,000 square foot studio, he can't keep everything. Some items don't work for film. They might buzz for the camera, or be a colour only a lead can wear, or be too specific to work in background. Film work is the studio's bread and butter, and so everything we keep must work for what we do best.
The top-to-toe costuming for cast and background performers means that Ian has to buy entire estates sometimes to get the few things that will work for the rental collection. So, while the entire rental house that Ian and his small staff maintains is designed to offer costume designers and stylists a wearable and screen-ready collection in a comfortable, clean, organized and climate-controlled environment - it is also the perfect set-up and source for an online store like Ian Drummond Vintage (and IDC Masculine for handsome items, and Ian Drummond Stash for household textiles.)
The Ian Drummond Collection’s movie and TV wardrobe rental studio is open to Industry Professionals from 9-5 Monday through Friday, or by appointment, and we sell to the public at special events, and to the trade by appointment in Toronto -- but thanks to Etsy, we can sell to everyone around the world 24-7.
Follow us on Facebook or Instagram @iandrummondcollection for more sneak peaks at what will soon be in the stores, or for what we're working on for the big and small screens.

Accepted payment methods
You do not need a PayPal account to pay with your credit card, is is simply the credit card processor for the transaction.
If you are new to ETSY and need help with checking out please go to;
Payment must be made in full before the item is shipped. If a payment isn't made within 48 hours, and we have had no conversation, the sale will be cancelled and the item returned to stock.
If you have further questions or need any information about options, we're flexible and motivated sellers - please contact us.
We do not offer payment plans, but will reserve items for a short time (usually 48 hours) while items are being considered, questions answered and shipping or other terms negotiated. Please convo us to arrange this.
Please keep in mind that Canada is not the USA and that Canada Post has its peculiarities. All purchases are shipped through either Canada Post or USPS via ChitChats Express. If you have a FEDEX account, we would be glad to use that if you prefer.
We provide tracking with USPS shipping whenever possible via Stamps.com, and only upon your choosing an upgrade if Canada Post.
We use Canada Post's/USPS' "Find a Rate" calculator to set our shipping profiles. Shipping upgrades are offered wherever possible. We will happily quote shipping more exactly and make adjustments with your address provided. We will combine orders upon request. You can either use the options set in our shipping profiles, or convo.
Differences in shipping of more than $2 are automatically refunded - you don't have to ask.
Items or combined purchases over $100 are required to have tracked shipping.
If the Etsy and PayPal addresses are different, we will ship to the Etsy address.
Depending on location, delivery time for letters and parcels can be from 6-8 business days, but weeks longer isn't unheard of when crossing the country. We do our best to package so as to minimize shipping costs - but over 2 kilograms are necessarily more expensive. Xpress Post (2 business days) and Priority (1 business day) are available for Canada Post's extortionate increases.
USA & INTERNATIONAL SHOPPERS:
We upgrade to the most expedient tracked option whenever possible.
Please note that especially around holidays and due to customs or border issues, shipping times of 10-12 weeks are not uncommon, and even some of the "faster" options are delayed beyond the estimated business days posted. Because each item is unique, we can't replace items, and request that they are given a little more time to travel.
We will refund after 10 weeks - this based on experience, is the outside time at which items have arrived.
If an item turns up after we've refunded, we trust that our honest and understanding customers will contact us and offer to make payment. Though shipping times have been heinous sometimes, nothing has ever been lost and nobody has ever disappointed us!
You are responsible for all VAT, import fees, duties and taxes imposed by your country. We can not falsify customs forms. These charges are your responsibility, we have no control over this -- please do not confuse them with additional shipping charges.
Refunds and Exchanges
We will happily respond to convos asking for clarification, and can easily provide more images upon request - we often take extra images for our own accuracy and accountability, beyond what we can use on Etsy.
We do not manufacture any of these items - they are all pre-owned, and in many cases, pre-loved.
Please keep in mind that vintage clothing and items may have been worn or used before, and items often retain the impression of their former users. Even New Old Stock may have flaws from its manufacture or previous storage. Due to the nature of these items there may be minor imperfections. We do our best to note the flaws but we may miss trivial ones - we take great care to represent everything carefully. Our photography studio lighting is clear and bright, and we do our best to make sure the colours appear accurate.
No refunds are issued based on problems with the fit of a garment. We do not pin items on our forms - all are presented as they hang. Please measure yourself or a like item of clothing to ensure a suitable fit. Minor alterations might be necessary for the best fit to your figure, as with any item of clothing. If you need more information please convo - we are industry professionals and understand working with clients at a distance.
All items described in "AS IS" condition are a final sale.
Please notify us within 2 days of receiving your purchase if you intend to request a refund.
Your item must be sent back unworn and in the condition it was sent in (we have reference photos for comparison should any discrepancy or damage from shipping arise.)
We will refund the cost of an item upon our receipt of it, but not the shipping or return shipping.
The return shipment is at the buyers expense and must be made via a method of shipping that includes a tracking number and signature upon receipt. This is a Paypal requirement.
We may use this as a quick guide to condition:
