About

Peeking out from behind the lens.

It all started with my first digital camera. An Olympus CAMEDIA C-900 ZOOM. I think it was 3 megapixels. I was teaching myself graphic design at the time and decided that using digital pictures was a good way to practice.

I began to photograph graffiti and propaganda art in 2001 while working in the fashion industry in downtown Los Angeles. At the time, there was a lot of anti-war art all over the streets. I noticed some amazing murals that were constantly being painted over. So daily, armed with my camera, I drove the streets on the hunt for pops of bright colors which appeared around every corner. I wanted to capture the history of those pieces before they disappeared, never to be seen again. My exposure to the many forms of graffiti led me to explore graphic design and multimedia art. I now have quite a collection of photographs of graffiti murals from Los Angeles, San Francisco, Australia, Israel, Morocco, France and the many other places I have traveled.

The Graffiti Block project started out as a gift to one of my best friends who loves graffiti as much as I do, and she was the one who introduced me to Etsy.com. So now, after years of block gift giving and personal orders, I've decided to really run with my business.

Always awake and with an open mind, I am on the lookout for the most beautiful, abstract, obscure and rare public art available. My goal is to capture the images and bring back a piece of this eclectic art form to share with you.
