About

Slippery Slope of Fiber

I use the headline jokingly, however it sums up my history with fiber quite well. I started crocheting after a bad break up, needing a distraction from the drama. Soon I had learned about the mysteries of spinning wheels and hand spun yarn. I had learn to knit as a small child, but I started again in hopes to use as little precious hand spun yarn as possible when creating accessories. Not long after I caught the wool dyeing bug. So now I am here, trying to soak up as much color and wool as possible. I decided I could sell these things, as I had bought from other local crafters, small businesses, and independent dyers.
I bring my own set of skills to the party, with an eye for pastels that I just can't get enough of. Within a few years I decided I had enough skills under my belt to open my own shop. So here I am, bringing the joys of fiber to others.

Hobbies have always been a staple in my life. They have changed and developed over the years, and I have found myself stuck on fiber. I have jumped full force in my small business, taking classes at my local college to further my education.

Hi there! I love playing with fiber and I love playing with colors, so dyeing fiber and spinning colorful yarns is like second nature to me. I only sell what I would buy; meaning that I use as high quality dyes and fibers as possible.

All items come from a smoke free environment- However, I do have two cats but try my best to keep them out of my studio.
Thank you!
