5 out of 5 starsPurchases as a way to encourage a coworker who are struggling and remind them of what a good job they were doing. Card arrive quick; paper stock was heavy and pretty impressive. Love how this turned out.

5 out of 5 starsMy candle, in beautiful shades of teal, just arrived!! It will be in my kitchen (which was expertly remodeled by Jenna’s Dad) to remind me of all those I have known and lost to cancer. What a great idea for a very worthwhile cause. Thank you, Jenna!

We are the possibliity of hope & empowerment
IgniteHope is a nonprofit dedicated to create the possibility of hope and empowerment for people undergoing cancer treatment. We are doing this through making candles.
Our mission started when our owner, Jenna Lindman, wanted to help people undergoing cancer treatment. She is a cancer survivor of 3 years and wanted to make a difference in the lives of people going through the same thing she did.
"I remember when I went through chemo, it was the toughest thing I had ever faced," recalls Jenna. "I was surrounded by awesome family and friends and had a great network of support, but I still felt very isolated. Sometimes the most meaningful gifts and cards I received were from strangers who heard about what I was going through or acquaintances. There was something very special about someone who didn't know me that wanted to say 'hey, I hope you're doing alight.' I decided that I wanted to try to bring that special feeling to others."
Through this she created IgniteHope, a nonprofit that donates candles with inspiring and uplifting messages hidden in the wax to cancer survivors.
"Candles have a magic ability to warm our hearts and chase away the darkness. It is our goal to create candles to be lit in times of sadness, defeat, or struggle," says Jenna. "As the candle burns, handwritten messages of love and support are discovered." These messages are all unique and written with the intention of bringing peace and hope to the person who has lit the candle."
Now IgniteHope is growing and hope to help not just cancer survivors, but all survivors down the road. They have donated candles to dozens of cancer survivors, raised hundreds of dollars for survivors of the Pulse Nightclub Tragedies, and continue to inspire others to do good works, all by making candles.

Frequently asked questions
Do you use soy wax?
We use a high quality paraffin wax. It is totally non-toxic. We do this because soy wax can release estrogen into the air. High levels of estrogen can cause problems for humans and particularly men. We try to avoid soy for this reason.
