Ilan is a silversmith, goldsmith, and designer specializing in handmade rings. Most of his designs are organic and unique, with an irregular, imperfect shape, no sharp edges, and a soft, warm appearance. He works with the metal, hammering and shaping the material until it's pliable and flexible and ready to take shape. Each piece is distinctive and original. He specializes in yellow, rose, and white gold and sterling silver 925 wedding rings, engagement rings, his and her ring sets, and signet rings.

He especially enjoys creating custom pieces with precious gemstones integrated into the design: turquoise, sapphire, ruby, labradorite, diamond, garnet, opal, moonstone, aquamarine, CZ (cubic zirconia), pearls, amethyst, topaz or any gem you would like to set. Each gem has its own energy and unique qualities, above and beyond its color and form. The beauty of each gem, as he sees it, is less about its clarity and more about the strength of its color. He uses top quality fine pure and natural gold and silver, and chooses the gemstones with his wife Tamy on special trips to Tel Aviv.

Ilan's workshop is at his home in Kibbutz Metzer, surrounded by the beautiful countryside of central Israel. Tamy handles customer service, regarding any questions or requests you may have. Together we've been here on Etsy since 2013, expanding our Internet shop from year to year.

Creative and unique designer of jewelry - one of a kind, just like you…

Since childhood I've enjoyed creating and working with my hands. I'm a natural problem solver; when I encounter a difficulty I love to find a solution. Designing jewelry, for me, combines creative handiwork, a love of aesthetics, and my desire to please others with my work.

My life has brought me to a wonderful place. I've been a jewelry designer for over 25 years. I love to travel, especially to the desert which is a great source of inspiration for me, but my favorite place on earth is my home. I'm very lucky to have a home-based workshop where I can work according to my own schedule. I live in Kibbutz Metzer, a small, dynamic community in central Israel. Almost everything I need is produced locally.

I am married to Tamy, who manages the shop and is in charge of customer service and shipping. I have five wonderful kids, four girls and a boy, and one dog. I come from a creative family: my father is a sculptor in wood and stone and my brother, Yaron Amir, sculpts and sells home "mezuzahs" from wood that he finds in the Galilee.

Rings are my specialty - a friend of mine even calls me "Lord of the Rings." I make a lot of wedding rings and am always happy and honored to be a part of your special occasion. I love to work with silver and gold, combining them together to make a unique piece of jewelry. Since I work on my own, every piece is different - this is the true nature of handmade jewelry. I like to choose gemstones which I set in the jewelry I create. Every gem has its own story, nature, and color, so every piece looks slightly different. In addition to the rings, I also make necklaces, pendants, bracelets, and earrings.

Most of my work is showcased and sold in galleries across Israel; some is sold in other countries and I have a large selection on my page on Facebook. On Etsy I have some of my work showcased (I do all my own photography) and am adding new pieces all the time. If you see jewelry of mine elsewhere and would like to purchase it, I can add it to my Etsy shop - just send me a note. I will make it a priority to create your piece and ship your order as quickly as I can. Most pieces are shipped within a business day or two.

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or special requests. I do accept custom orders as long as they're based on existing pieces and styles. Small modifications and changes are usually not a problem.

Hope to hear from you soon!

Frequently asked questions
Sizing details

The best way to measure your ring size will be at a jewelry shop. They can tell you your size.

For wide rings- I will add 0.25- 0.50 to your ring size. At a jewelry store you can measure rings of several widths to see what you like best, and what size would be most comfortable.

Care instructions

If your ring has turned black- don't panic:) I work with the best materials. My rings are made of 925 sterling silver and 10k / 14k / 18k gold. Sometimes it's just a little remnant of soldering material that has turned black, or the silver may have oxidized a little.

This is what you can do in your home:
1) Try to clean it with an eraser (yes- it may sound funny, but it works).
2) Try a scotch bright, dish soap and hot water, then clean it with a cloth.
3) If nothing works, let me know and we'll find a way to clean it.

Gift wrapping and packaging

Your order is carefully packed to ensure its safe arrival. All my jewelry is wrapped in a beautiful and classic gift box, as you can see in the pictures - perfect to present as a gift to your loved ones. Please let me know if you would like me to include a special note from you inside.
