I am an art teacher by day and photographer by...later that day, so I am constantly creating. I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2010 where I received a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Art Education with a concentration in Design. During college I really grew a passion for illustration and portraiture. I've always been drawn to a simple, cartoon style of drawing, even though it goes against many of the fundamentals I teach my students!

About 2 years ago I painted a portrait of my husband, myself, and our cat Josie. The response on social media was amazing! People started ordering these custom watercolor portraits in my quirky style, and before I knew it I was juggling 3 creative careers!

For about a year now I've been taking custom portrait orders, and trying to figure out the logistics with my clients. I decided it was time to make things easier for my buyers! Opening an Etsy shop is such an exciting thing for me. I'm excited to sell my work to both local and long distance clients!
