Creative connections through illustration

I am an English illustrator who’s always had an obsession with drawing and mark-making.

Professional pup/pussycat portrayer (also, occasionally, humans and other miscellaneous riff-raff).

I love working on such personal commissions as portraits, birth announcements and wedding stationery. It means a lot to be able to contribute to such meaningful moments.

I graduated with a degree in Visual Communication: Illustration and then ran away to the Netherlands. I now run my illustration business from out Eindhoven.

Daily struggles include ordering my scribbles on to paper, a chronic pain disorder and toddler-wrangling my little boy Q.

I am committed to making high-quality art that is affordable, but also less harmful to the planet. Through small changes and constant revisions to my work processes, such as to my choice of materials, I am working towards leading a sustainable and low-impact creative life.

Thanks very much for visiting my shop!

• Take a look at my ‘Custom Illustration’ Section. If you see something you’d like, or similar, have a read of the Listing Description. *
• Please make a note of any details I say I will require from you, for example photos or colour-preferences.
• Purchase the appropriate listing!
• WHEN PAYMENT CLEARS AND I HAVE RECEIVED THE REQUESTED DETAILS E.G. PHOTO FROM YOU, I BEGIN WORKING. I will always first submit an outline of the commission to confirm I understand your request. See 'Custom Listing Policies' below for details, and any questions- just ask!

*IF THERE ARE NO LISTINGS MEETING YOUR REQUIREMENTS, but would like me to illustrate something completely different for you, please get in touch via the ‘Request Custom Listing’ button under my profile picture. If you outline what you’re thinking of, we can work out a listing from there :)

• Please take into account that if you request something different from existing listings, I will set the price for your listing based on your individual wishes and specifications. Therefore the price may vary from existing listings. Of course, I’ll check the price with you. You may even have a budget in mind before you have a clear idea for the illustration!
• I cannot make huge/significant changes to photos given as reference for custom portraits. Nothing big can be added to the photos, for example an extra person (unless reference is given for them too, in which case it will be priced accordingly).
• If a listing is for a custom ‘COUPLE’ portrait, then it can feature a maximum of two people. 'FAMILY' or 'GROUP' portraits can of course include more people.
• I cannot make huge adjustments to your request after I have begun painting. Your review of the’ rough’ (only if a rough is included in the description) will be for you to point out any minor adjustments that I need to make. ‘Minor adjustments’ refers to small changes such as tweaking facial features, or removing a lock of hair.
• Time till completion is stated as ‘the ready to dispatch’ time in the listing, which is counted from payment clearing and receival of requested details. If you need it sooner, let me know and maybe I can fiddle with my schedule a bit!
• PLEASE NOTE- I cannot begin painting until I receive the necessary details and the photo(s), and your payment clears. Please understand that it just helps to get everything in order from the beginning!
• With the subject’s permission the piece might be used for future advertising of my work. The piece will not be duplicated for re-sale, it’s a one-off!
• I will not knowingly work from a copyrighted photograph without permission. I would be happy to review any images and answer any questions before ordering.

• Please see my FAQ's for additional help with downloading and printing
• If you don't see the paper size you'd like, please message me before purchasing and I'll see if I can make it available for you
• FOR PERSONAL USE ONLY- no sharing or commercial use thank you. I retain the copyrights to all artworks
• Colours may vary slightly due to differences in computer monitors/devices

Item colours may vary slightly from your computer screen. I try to take accurate photographs, and I'm working on my photography skills :)

I generally keep your data for the following time period: 7 years (required to comply with Dutch tax authority (Belastingdient).

I may store and process your information through third-party hosting services in the US and other jurisdictions. As a result, I may transfer your personal information to a jurisdiction with different data protection and government surveillance laws than your jurisdiction.

Frequently asked questions
How do I download my digital files?

1. Purchase the listing.
2. Once payment is confirmed, you will be taken to the download page.
An email will be sent to you with your download link. Click “Download” to save the files to your computer.
Your digital files will also be available to download here:

-This Etsy article explains how you can download your files:

-If you check out as a guest, you will receive an automated email from Etsy with your download link.
-If you can't find this email, check your spam/junk folder

-The Etsy app on your phone or tablet device does not allow downloads. However, you can still download files to your device by opening your Etsy account in your device's internet browser

What kind of paper should I use?

I recommend a bright white heavyweight (200gsm+) photo paper for clarity of print. A great alternative would be recycled/biotop paper. It gives a softer, warmer print, but is more eco-friendly.

How do I open ZIP files?

-If you're using WINDOWS:
Right click on the zip folder, then choose "Extract all"
Remember where you are saving the files!
-If you're using MAC:
Double click the zip folder. Create a new folder, and move the zip there. Then use terminal and the command line "unzip" command

How do I choose the right sized file to print?

Common paper sizes can be grouped into different ratios. For each artwork you will recieve three different ratios-

* 3:4 ratio- Perfect for 12 x 16'', 9 x 12'', 6 x8''
* 4:5 ratio- Perfect for 8 x 10'', 4 x5''
* International standard sizes- Perfect for A3, A4, A5 or 5 x 7''

I supply the biggest file listed above for each ratio (so 12 x 16'', 8 x 10'' and A3), which you can then scale down to the smaller sizes. I wouldn't recommend enlarging them, as you may lose quality and they won't look as good.

You can check which size you'd need if you know which frame you'll use.

You can re-size them in an image-editing program, using your home printer's options, or ask at the copy store.

If you need help, please don't hesitate to ask!

I've printed my files but there is a white border that I don't want

I recommend using 'print preview' first to make sure the print will look how you want.

Make sure you uncheck the 'resize' or 'fit to page' options in your printer settings, and also enable 'borderless'. This will ensure the animals print up to the edge, as in the example photos. You can leave the border options on if you want to frame it that way of course!

How are your products eco-friendly?

I look at every aspect of my business and try to make it as sustainable as possible. It's an evolving project, and of course I can only use the resources available to me, but I do my best. From sourcing sustainable paper for prints, choosing ethical printing partners, to re-using (clean) packaging, I invest time in all areas. Check out my 'Sustainability' page on to read more!
