IMAGIMER is opgericht in 2011. Laat me je meer vertellen...
Mijn naam is Johanie Cauvier en sinds ik jong was, ben ik altijd gefascineerd geweest door zeeglas. Ze zijn als je eigen kleine schatten! Mijn favoriete kleur is blauw omdat ik ze erg mooi vind en ook een van de zeldzaamste tinten zijn die je kunt vinden.
Ik verzamel ze door op verschillende stranden in mijn regio te wandelen. Ik begon dit te doen voor de oefening die het me bracht en ook vind ik het heerlijk om de lekkere geur van de zee in te ademen. Bij elk uitje neem ik mijn speciale tasje mee om de "vers" geplukte kleine schatten in op te bergen. Ik breng ze dan naar huis om ze uit te zoeken en schoon te maken. Ik beslis dan welk stuk ik gebruik om juwelen te maken.
Toen ik hiermee begon, gaven verschillende van mijn vrienden en vriendinnen me mooie complimenten over wat ik zojuist had gemaakt. Ik begon toen steeds meer verzoeken te krijgen. Op dat moment besloot ik om mijn eigen bedrijf te starten genaamd IMAGIMER (wat "SEA IMAGINATION" betekent in het Frans). Elk jaar neem ik deel aan verschillende exposities om mijn werk lokaal te tonen en te verkopen. Nadat ik mijn website heb gemaakt om vele creaties over de hele wereld te verkopen en te verzenden! Etsy is nieuw voor mij.
Daarna heb ik interesse gekregen voor andere schatten die op het strand zijn gevonden. Ik werk nu met gepolijst aardewerk, keramiek, schelpen en stenen... Mijn vriend en onze 3 kinderen lopen vaak samen en proberen de mooiste en meest unieke stukken te vinden die we kunnen vinden!
IMAGIMER creëert UNIEKE en AUTHENTIEKE juwelen, gemaakt met grondstoffen zoals natuurlijk mat zeeglas dat door mij met de hand is geplukt en gemaakt. Alles komt van stranden hier in het oosten van Canada, in Québec. Het zeeglas dat ik gebruik is altijd natuurlijk gepolijst en mat door de zee en het zand. Ze worden ook gemiddeld geschat op minstens 50 + jaar oud om een perfect stuk te krijgen. Elk klein stukje heeft zijn eigen verhaaltje te vertellen. Het zijn echte kleine schatten!

My name is Johanie Cauvier and ever since is was young, I’ve always been fascinated by sea glass. They’re like your own little treasures! My favorite color is blue because I think they are very beautiful and are also one of the rarest shades you can find.
I collect them by walking on several beaches in my region. I started doing this for the exercise it brought me and also I love breathing the nice scent of the sea. At each outing, I bring my special little bag to store the « freshly » picked little treasures. I then bring them home to sort them out and clean them. I then decide wich piece I use to make jewels.
When I started doing this, several of my ciblings and friends gave me nice compliments about what I had just created. I then started to received more and more requests. At that moment, I decided to start my own business called IMAGIMER (meaning « SEA IMAGINATION » in french). Each year, I participate in several expositions to show and sell my work locally. After I created my website to sell and ship many creations all over the world! Etsy is new for me.
After, I’ve picked up interest for other treasures found on the beach. I now work with polished pottery, ceramics, shells and stones... My boyfriend and our 3 kids often walk together and try to find the most beautiful and unique pieces we can find!
IMAGIMER creates UNIQUE and AUTHENTIC jewels, made with raw materials like naturally frosted sea glass picked and made by hand by me. Everything comes from beaches here in eastern Canada, in Québec. The sea glass I use is always naturally polished and frosted by the sea and sand. They’re also estimated on average at being atleast 50 + years old to get a perfect piece. Each little piece has it’s own little story to tell. They are real little treasures!
