About

imperfection is only a perspective, one of many

the long and short is this:
in victorian times, women would sew red patches onto their magnificent quilts---simply to show that their masterpieces are in no way intended to emulate or vie with the immaculate beauty of the divine's creations of life.
my continual type a personality strife for the ideal of perfection has shown me to embrace and acknowledge that our very idea of perfection is quite absurd, and often times it is the path of imperfection that leads us towards our ultimate goal.
in my experience, imperfection is perfection.
to strive for perfection is insanity defined--even though most of us (secretly) do.
i see to much beauty within the struggle of becoming to settle for something that can't be improved upon....
just as the seams of my trade have shown me--sometimes the only way to perfection is through acceptance of a few flaws.

so, i stitched for myself and my extended family circle.
then life brought me round to an industrial sewing job, making emt, rigging, firefighter gear, and the like.
i worked with some women who shared with me all of their years of wisdom gathering in the seamstress trades. many of these skills are being lost due to lack of necessity these days, and i consider myself incredibly blessed to be endowed with such gifts.
this fiscal adventure also showed me the ins and outs of many different machines and how to use them.
it also gave me fabulous information about how to construct incredibly durable garments.
you know garments constructed in my care are going to withstand the roughage of life!

i've been sewing for thirteen years;
i am primarily self taught, and have a tendency to unrealistically strive for perfection. the result is a fab product for you.
i try and enjoy to reuse and repurpose whenever realistically possible.
