About

I love color, texture, and design . . .

This shop is my mid-life crisis, just ask my husband of 25 years. It allows me creativity to express myself in unique ways. I love to tell a story with a bracelet. The charms have so many meanings and offer symbolism melded with color and texture. I get great delight in building custom pieces for clients.

My shop also allows me to assist the two brilliant young college-bound men in my life who are striving to become engineers. They are my life's work, and why I am willing to work 7 days a week.

My husband and I used to own a floor covering and interior decor shop. This is where I get my eye for color, texture, and design. We sold our shop just prior to the collapse of the housing market in 2008. I miss the creativity of design, but I don't look back. Our move was a good one and right for our family. The bracelets allow me an outlet for creativity that I have been missing.

Thank you for taking the time to view my bracelets and allowing me to share my passion, my mid-life crisis.

Shipping
Your first item on any order pays shipping, up to five additional items can be shipped in the same small box and ride along for free! Please contact me for shipping prices if you will be having over 6 items shipped. I ship all of my jewelry items via USPS Priority mail, and I charge actual shipping rates for a small box. I like priority as the shipping is fast and package tracking and insurance is provided. I will ship your items within 2 business days of purchase. I often will be able to ship the same day; however, I do work at a full time job, and cannot always get to the local post office prior to closing on days that I am working late. Being that I will be shipping USPS, please use an address that accepts mail service.

Wine glass charms will be shipped in a padded mailer through USPS. I do not send these priority mail in order to help you save on shipping.

I believe in recycling. While I do use bubble wrap in my shipping to protect the glass beads, I have never purchased a single piece of bubble wrap out side of the padded mailers I use for wine glass charms. I recycle and re-use. My brother-in-law is a plumber, and a majority of the new plumbing fixtures he purchases are wrapped in bubble wrap. He saves the packaging for me. I would encourage you to do the same when you receive my parcel. Reuse the packaging. Every little bit helps the environment.

NOTE TO INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS:
I am currently only shipping within the United States

ABOUT MY BRACELETS:

Each bracelet is crafted from a variety of materials. Most of the beads I use are a silver or bronze toned metal alloy or a silver plated. I use alloy and plated metals to keep the bracelet costs manageable. Eventually the charms will wear to a coppery color. Each bracelet I make holds an average of 18 charms and beads. If you have ever made European charm bracelets yourself, you will realize how quickly the costs of the beads and charms add up. I string the beads on a variety of bracelet styles made up of different materials. Each listing will describe the bracelet material and length.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE:

Most of the charms in my jewelry are made from a zinc alloy or are a silver plated, or a combination of both.

Silver plated jewelry does take special care to properly maintain. Plated jewelry is made by taking a base metal and covering it with a very thin layer of gold or silver, when compared to other types of metal, plated jewelry is often a more reactive substance. I often use leather bracelets as well to string the beads. To add life to your jewelry, please adhere to the following care instructions:

•Be sure to protect leather and silver and gold plated items by keeping them away from water, soaps and detergents, and makeup and perfumes. Take off your jewelry before washing or bathing.

•Keep the beads away from hard surfaces, even a light scratch will cause the plating layer to wear away more quickly.

•Clean your piece gently with soft cloth or an appropriate jewelry cleaner made for plated material (do not use an abrasive jewelry cleaner, and do not soak leather bracelets in a jewelry cleaning solution), this could help to eliminate any dirt and dust particulates which will wear away the layer on the jewelry surface.

•When not wearing your jewelry, store it in a dry place or wrap with soft material.

Thank you again, for browsing through my Etsy market shop. Have a wonderful day filled with love and laughter.
