5 out of 5 starsThe purse arrived today and it is exactly as described. I am so pleased with the color. style & the new leather smell. I absolutely love it. I tend to use the same purse (dislike changing) and this purse is perfect for my life style.

About inblue
in blue handmade. Special totes for special folks!
In Blue started in 2008, after a relocation from bustling Chicago to a small farm in Southern Illinois. I bought a sewing machine on the way down, learned how to work it, and never looked back. Going from "I" to "we" with a team of leather working magicians and 50,000 + sale, In Blue has gone from one brick and mortar shop to a studio that we call home.
Now located in Asheville, NC, In Blue resides in a converted warehouse studio space. Together we make each piece by hand every day. We start with top grain cowhides, trace and cut our pattern pieces, sew 'em up, assemble them, and ship them to your door.
It has been our pleasure to take our wares on the road, attending and vending many major music and arts festivals, including (but not limited to) Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival, Merle Fest, Pitchfork Music Festival, and the Newport Folk Festival.
It has been an honor to be featured in British Vogue magazine, Bicycling magazine, MSN, Mountain Xpress, Try Handmade, Southern Lady, Southern Living, Outside, and many, many more press outlets. Most importantly, we love what we do, and it means the world to the In Blue team to be able to bring you a personalized craft and a unique way to express yourself. Thank you for shopping handmade, we think you have made an excellent decision! :)
Keep up with our story on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter @inbluehandmade !

Care instructions
No need to treat your leather with anything. It comes pretreated during the Eco tanning process from our distributors. The only thing we ever recommend putting on your item is a small amount of natural Beeswax leather conditioner to buff out scratches. A little goes a long way.
Wholesale availability
We do apologize, but we do not take wholesale orders at this time. Thanks for your inquiry!
What kind of leather do you use?
So we use 100% second sourced cowhide that is eco tanned here in the US and Italy :) we have some full-grain, some top-grain, and some skived down thinner leathers... really depends on the colors.
All leather has normal distress marks such as scratches, freckles, moles stretch marks, etc. All these marks represent the life of the animal, and part of the eco-tanning process is not adding a synthetic coat over the natural markings of the hide of the animal. Distress will be present on all items, just as it is on our on bodies.
Though we realize this may not be the look for everyone, if you wish for a less distressed bag please notify us in advance so we can offer possible leather colors to better meet your needs!
What kind of canvas do you use?
We use a 20 oz waxed canvas, sourced from our US distributor. The canvas does come waxed with a proprietary blend of natural waxes including beeswax. With this comes a natural distressed look to the bag, creating a marbled two toned look (with lighter marks) throughout the bag. This is natural and will last through out the life of the bag.
