I was looking for a journal for an upcoming retreat to Thailand...I wanted it to be special and unique. This fit my wants perfectly! The journal is well made, the pages are awesomely recycled and rustic, and the seller was amazingly helpful and friendly. I will have nothing but fantastic vibes everytime I open up this journal.

Own a Beautiful Eco Friendly Journal, Uniquely Handcrafted with Traditional Indian Art and Sari Covers using Handmade Paper
Indian Journals are one of a kind, Beautiful and Artistic Diaries derived from Traditional Indian Art that are infused with Eco Conservation Values.
Since my teens, I have always been interested in Eco, Organic, Recycled, Earth-Friendly ways of living. The idea of saving trees slowly led me to foray into paper products made from recycled and handmade paper. I also started to show keen interest in re-using and up-cycling leftover fabrics into creations of usable art.
Likewise, coming from a design background, I nurtured a very strong inclination of developing and using aspects of Traditional Indian Folk Art in our everyday lives. Something that could become a part of our daily routine and not just remain obscure in libraries.
Indian Journals was thus born out of my fondness to re-use fabrics, of handmade paper and of my passion to revive and work with Traditional Indian Folk Art.
My days are full of vibrant colours as I mix and match remnants of Embellished Sari's , Cushion covers, Embroidered Dupatta's. It’s remarkable to see how beautiful and distinctive each Fabric Covered Journal can emerge.
The Traditional Art designs are again amazing creations, especially when we see the same Indian Folk Motif turn vividly different just by playing with colours. Every journal seems to be a living being with its own special character and moods !
I now offer my Journals in Four Sizes to suit different needs, which in terms of variety, is a big addition as compared to the basic medium size that I sold for the longest time.
" Indian Journals " happily runs from my home based studio - an Enabling work space that reflects my style and sensibilities and compliments my creativity and Eco Conscious Values.
One of my favourite shop reviews that lauded the hard work that goes behind each journal in the best possible way was : "These are unique, beautifully crafted journal books, handmade in every way, with vivid colors and great attention to detail. I have never seen anything like them, definitely worth having as works of art, even if to leave the pages blank, though they are wonderful to write in – the paper is highest quality, purely handmade, and a joy to feel. I purchased two of these journal books because I wanted something more personal and aesthetic than just a plain notebook to keep in my purse. "
Another customer's best friend very aptly said : "it's one of the most beautiful things, I have ever been given!"

All Indian Journals or Handmade Diaries use Recycled Handmade Paper.
We use Up-Cycled Embroidered Patchwork Fabrics, Brocade remnants, Embellished Sari's and Traditional Indian Folk Art Prints to create distinct and instantly appealing journals. The conventional bound book stitching techniques along with a wrapping twine to match the look and feel of older era journals used in India speak of Unique Sturdy Craftsmanship.
Extra Large Size is 9 x 7 inches is recently introduced and is observed that people who like to sketch , write for longer duration or use it for specific purposes prefer this size.
Large Size is 8 x 6 inches is most preferred by avid journalists.
Medium size of 6 x 4 inches is what sells the best not just because it is easy to carry or use as a handy purse diary, but also because several such journals can be categorized for food, travel, everyday logs, personal notes etc instead of cramming everything in one journal.
Mini Size is a cute 3.5 x 5 inches which is generally preferred as a handy book, pocket notebook, quick jotting down journal usually preferred for shopping lists , to do lists etc.
The journals or diaries are not supposed to be washed or wet with water. Wiping with a dry towel to clean is all you may ever need.
Due to monitor differences, lighting and other factors, actual item colors may be slightly different than how they appear on your screen.
All of my one of a kind Indian Art Journals are made in a smoke free, pet free environment.
