Earth Energy and Mermaid Glamour from the Warm River and beyond -- San Marcos Texas.
When I was two years old - I promise the story isn't as long as it seems like it's going to be with that intro - my Mom found me in our backyard covered in all her jewelry that I could find (most were items she'd metalsmith'd herself). That was just the beginning. My whole life I've been in pursuit of the sparkly, the lovely, the handmade, the authentic, the shimmery, anything that just in its sheer physical beauty makes the eye happy and the heart smile. I especially love natural stones and handmade items from across the world - as unaltered as possible, glorious in natural variation and original craftsmanship as possible.
I began making jewelry in earnest about 6 years ago, starting with reclaimed vintage chains and gemstones. As I've discovered more items I want to build and elements to use, I've found partner shops in Norway and Latvia with a tremendous selection of found items and deadstock to continually grow the selection of reclaimed chains, fantastic vintage pendants, and gorgeous vintage English-cut beads (just to name a few). I live in one of the best regional capitals for antique hunting, and also regularly scour online sites for the best reclaimed materials and beautiful items worldwide.
In the past two years I've added metalsmithing and custom made bands and gemstone rings. so there's now a fun mix of strong industrial chic with the boho and excess. I love when one of my edgier pieces ends up looking amazing with one of the over the top luxe items. You just never know what will vibrate at the same level with you.
As always, convo me if you want something custom - I love creating something one-of-a-kind for someone who will love it!

Marie Britton Turner
Owner, Maker, Designer, Creationista
I am the resident lifelong jewelry nerd behind Indibela. I design "for myself", in that each piece is built intuitively as I go along. The final piece is usually much different from my original concept, and that evolutionary process is so much fun!
