It was so great working with Mary! She made a couple slight changes, and we love this clock!! The pendulum moves a little faster than I imagined, but it's a really fun piece to have at home!

Looks great in my kitchen. It was so easy to chat and ask for custom modifications so it would fit my space. Thanks! I highly recommend infinity arts! I will shop here again!

Time Elevated

My husband, Justin, incubated the name Infinity Arts and we birthed the business together in the red rocks of Sedona in 1999. We've come a long way, moving west to Portland, Oregon in 2004.
Justin made the first clocks from vinyl records and did experimental things like spray paint them using mandala stencils that he cut out by hand and, well, with that hole in the center, what else would it be but a clock? He soon discovered mdf and that became the new medium.
I designed my first clocks after our son was born in 2000. It wasn't long before I was hooked. Functional art excited me and I loved the sculptural quality of the clocks right from the start.
When we lived in Arizona we often designed clocks around southwestern shapes (sunbursts, for example) and combined an earthy color palette with painstakingly-etched, hammered and fired copper. We also suffered the occasional creative anguish of creating a stunning clock with a pendulum that was too large to ever hope to remain swinging.
We sell our clocks online, to small galleries and home decor boutiques, and we've created custom clocks for such notables as the Boston Children's Hospital.
After moving to Portland, our clocks began to take on the aesthetic of our urban surroundings. Some of Justin's designs were reminiscent of graffiti art combined with re-purposed elements. I headed toward minimalism with color, organic line designs and the occasional splash of metal.
In 2007 we switched from using mdf and acrylic paints to using sustainable design fiberboard (sdf) and milk paints to create clocks with a higher recycled and voc-free content.
Things are always evolving and unfolding in new directions at Infinity Arts. Justin is focusing on other artistic endeavors, pushing the boundaries of music and visual art (, so these days most of the clocks you see in our shop are my designs.
After more than a decade, I still relish the time I get to spend in my studio making clocks. The work continues to relax and inspire me.
Our goal is to continue to provide unique functional & fine art, along with impeccable, friendly customer service. As always, at the heart of each clock is our love of making them....and we hope they give you much more than just the time of day!

Shop policies

We at Infinity Arts are concerned about our impact, as artists, on the environment. We do everything we can, from searching out sustainable materials and biodegradable milk paints for our clocks, to reusing packing materials and shipping boxes. Therefore, it is not unusual for the box your clock comes in to be "ugly".
