I was seeking a bandeau suitable for yoga, and INKA directed me to this color and material. It works for yoga as well as spending a day in the aiport! So comfortable and minimal shift. I am going to need more soon I'm sure... ;) I love it.

About

From a sewing machine to a sewing workshop

I took my life long passion and dream of owning a clothing label and ran with it. I started sewing when I was 10 years old on my mothers dysfunctional tabletop machine and quickly started disassembling garments and creating patterns from them. After many years of home sewing I went to apparel design school to hone my skills and prefect a skill I had a passion for.

In December of 2012 I started with my industrial sewing machine and a few pieces of fabric left over from design school and created a small line of infant and toddler clothing and shoes. After just four short months I was able to obtain a grant to grow my business and invest in organic knit fabrics and an industrial serger.

One season of farmers markets and festivals and I decided to open a store front in the historic downtown Kalispell, Montana. Not only do I sell my diverse line of clothing and accessories but I also host a phenomenal local jeweler and three local fine artists so create a colorful and artistic space in an art starved community.

I am determined to run my manufacturing just as green as I can. I have sourced organic fabric that was manufactured, dyed and finished in the USA. I supplement that fabric with upcycled T-shirts and sweaters. All of my upcycled fabrics are first washed in warm/hot water with scent free and dye free organic soap then I cut them up to be paired with my organic fabric. I also use a lot of new second-hand vintage yardage which is prewashed in the same method as my t-shirts and sweaters.

I am finding was to use zero waste when it comes to my fabric consumption. The bolt ends that I do not make into scarves I use to make legwarmers, wristies or use for pockets on garments.

I have big plans in the expansion of my business in the future and I am so very lucky to have a great customer base in my local community. Favorite my shop and follow me as I progress into more women's, men's and children's clothing in the future!
