Botanical printing is a method of extracting natural pigments from plants, leaves and flowers on fabric. The result is a detailed print of the plant. Each piece is lovingly created by placing organic materials on buttery soft organic cotton and hand-binding them individually with twine. This sustainable process creates a distinctive statement piece to wrap you in the warm enchantment of nature. I invite you to engulf your entire being in handcrafted botanical beauty.

Dyed from native plants from my lovely home on an Island in the south Puget Sound, Washingon. If you have any questions please feel free to send me a message!

About

Eco-Friendly Family Business

Greetings and welcome to INKA Homeware. I started sewing when I was 11 years old and went to school for apparel design 5 years ago. My passion is sewing. I starting INKA Clothing after my daughter was born. I made baby and toddler clothing and quickly evolved to women's clothing. Now three years later I decided to expand to housewares as well. I have always held strict green values in my private life and those are reflected in my clothing and housewares with organic fabrics, upcycling and using vintage textiles.

I have recently found a deep love for dyeing and eco-printing fabric including indigo shibori and other eco pigment dyes from roots, leaves, lichens and flowers. You can see this reflected in my current work on my Etsy page. I find grounding and peace in the practice of dyeing with raw materials from nature.

My shop is run by my small family of Inka and myself. Together we inspire each other to create and live a life full of passion and independence.

We live in the gorgeous, luscious and green Anderson Island, Washington. All of the fresh air, clean water and outdoors inspire us to act as clean and green as possible in our daily lives. We decided to share some of our favorite household reusable products with the world to inspire a green lifestyle. I hope you love what you see and will help support our small family business! Thank you!
