Frequently asked questions
RETURNS AND EXCHANGES
Due to the handmade and delicate nature of our products, we're unfortunately unable accept returns. Refunds are not available for design services or customized stationery. ink & bean press cannot accept returns or offer refunds due to any errors that were approved and signed off on by the client in the final proof. Please review your proofs carefully! Any errors caused by ink & bean press will be remedied as quickly as possible in the form of a re-print.
DESIGNS
ink & bean press understands many customers want a design similar to work they've seen elsewhere. We are happy to use these photos only as a guide and as a description of what you would like as we cannot copy another designer’s work. This also applies to copyrighted artwork such as Disney characters and other animated likenesses. We are able to use artwork that has been purchased under the appropriate license. If you have original artwork you would like us to print, we are happy to do so with the original artist's consent. Letterpress prints line art very well, but other forms of artwork are just not suitable for this type of printing. We encourage you to contact us if you have questions about your specific design prior to purchase.
CANCELLATIONS
If we have not yet started working on your order, we will refund your order by cancellation. This is the only instance in which we are able to offer a refund. If we started designing your order, we will refund your order less your deposit of $100. After the initial design phase begins, we cannot cancel your order.
Please report any damages incurred during shipment upon receipt. If you have not received your package and believe it to be lost, please contact us immediately. We are unable to refund for or replace stolen packages. To prevent a stolen package, please request delivery with signature required. This option will not be selected unless requested by the customer.
I FOUND A MISTAKE IN MY FINISHED PRODUCT. WHAT SHOULD I DO?
We will print your stationery exactly as shown on the signed, approved proofs. Should you find an error on your stationery, please contact us. We can offer a discounted re-print.
Please note that we cannot accept returns or process refunds due to errors found on approved proofs, regardless of where the error originated. We do our best to call attention to any errors we may see during the proofing process, however final proofing is ultimately the responsibility of the client and ink & bean is unable to accept fault.
If your completed stationery does not reflect or match the approved proofs, please contact us immediately and we will re-print the affected items free of charge.
INK AND PAPER COLORS
Letterpress is a handmade art and may sometimes show its limitations in the final product. Due to the nature of letterpress printing, slight variations and differences are to be expected.
We hand-mix our ink which can vary from different print runs. We do our best to match your letterpress ink as closely as we can to requested colors, swatches, photos, or Pantone numbers. Similar to a dye lot, ink colors can vary from each print run and we recommend ordering any coordinating items together. Due to differences in computer monitor displays, ink colors in the digital proofs or our Etsy listing may appear slightly different in person.
MINIMUM QUANTITY
The minimum quantity for most custom letterpress invitations, announcements, and holiday cards is 50. We understand there are many events in which less than 50 invitations are needed, however, initial set up costs for a custom print prohibits charging for less than a quantity of 50. The starting prices for the designs are provided on each listing.
DO YOU HAVE SAMPLES FOR PURCHASE?
We're currently working on providing samples for purchase so you can first-hand experience the high quality of our work before placing your order. It's not yet available but will be soon.
HOW LONG WILL THE WHOLE PROCESS TAKE?
You have some control in how long the process can take. If you're speedy in approving proofs, we can have the materials order placed by the next business day and ship out within the 15 business day timeframe. However, if you need more time in making your proof changes before finalizing your order, it can take more time. Please allow at least 3 weeks for standard orders. Rush printing and shipping can be accommodated for additional fees. Please contact us if you are in need of rush service.
