At Inklings, we believe that love is in the little things!

Welcome to our little shop! We're so glad you stopped by.

Our premium paper goods are born out of a love for beautiful typography, thoughtful design, and a dash of whimsy. We hope that our sustainably-produced products for children and adults alike will evoke curiosity, and bring joy and meaning to the everyday.

Sustainability and resourcefulness have always been part of our story. In 2009, I was printing a large job for a client when I learned that the offcuts from the printer’s press sheet were going to be thrown away. Instead of letting them go to waste, I designed little cards to be printed in the margins, and Inklings Paperie was born. From the first product that we listed in our shop to where we are today, our line has grown and ideas continue to spur on other ideas... but our passion and commitment remains true!

Our small team consists of a group of passionate people who are committed to creating smart, beautiful products. From the quality of our materials to the care that goes into designing and packaging each and every item we make, we ensure that no detail goes unnoticed.

We think that the world is a beautiful place, and we want to keep it that way. That’s why we are committed to printing on sustainably-produced papers using low VOC soy-based ink. In short, while our paper goods come in a variety of vibrant shades, deep down they’re green to the core!

Inklings Paperie began as a seedling of an idea, and has grown into more than I could have imagined or dreamed of. We feel so deeply blessed that our little paper creations have somehow found a way into your lives; your little celebrations and your big announcements. Thank-you for the privilege of allowing us to do what we do!

    We work with a wonderful printer to produce our cards using vibrant soy-based inks on sustainably produced paper! They also assist with all of our gold foil printing, and we hand-inspect each card that comes off their presses.

    Plymouth, MI

    We've selected a small local print shop to create many of our cards, and we attend press checks in person. They do beautiful work, and each item that comes off the press is hand-inspected so it's nothing short of perfect!

The following items can't be returned or exchanged
Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
  • Custom or personalized orders
  • Perishable products (like food or flowers)
  • Digital downloads
  • Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)
  • Items on sale

We want you to be absolutely delighted with your purchase! If for some reason the items you receive fall short of your expectations, please contact us directly so we can make it right.

Change your mind? Simply return your item(s) to us and we will issue a refund after receiving your items in their original condition.

Due to their handmade nature, custom-written orders may not be returned unless there is an issue due to our error.

For any items returned to us after 60 days, a $5 re-stocking fee will apply, which will be deducted from your refund amount. For transactions placed through PayPal, we are unfortunately unable to issue a refund (in whole, or in part) after 60 days. In this case, a shop credit may be offered, depending on the circumstances.

Though it is rare, if your package has been lost in transit due to a fault of the postal carrier, please contact us and we will either ship a replacement, or issue you a refund.

Please note that we cannot be held responsible for orders which arrive after your event due to a last-minute order or inadequate shipping. Please see our shipping policies for details on the optional shipping upgrades we offer.

For custom-designed items or printable files which have already been downloaded, we are unable to accept refunds.

While we do our best to represent our products accurately in our listing photographs, please understand that the colors do vary between computer monitors. The printed products you receive should be quite close to what is depicted in our photographs, with some degree of variation to be expected depending in your monitor.
We accept all major credit cards, as well as payment through PayPal or Etsy Giftcards.

If your payment is not received within 24 hours of placing your order, we will contact you and your order may be canceled. All orders shipped to a Michigan address will be subject to 6% sales tax.

Should you wish to cancel an order before it has shipped, convo us and we would be happy to issue a refund. If your package has already shipped, we will issue a refund for the product in question (less shipping costs) after we have received the item back in its original condition.

Sorry, we are unable to apply coupon codes retroactively to orders that have already been placed. Please take care to verify your information when checking out!
Please double-check your shipping address during the check-out process to verify that it is correct. We print our shipping labels directly from your receipt, and rely on customers to review and confirm their ship-to address before placing an order. Unfortunately we cannot be held responsible for old or incorrect addresses provided by the customer. Thanks!


Our standard processing time (shipping excluded) is 1-3 business days on all regular orders, or 3-5 business days on orders which include custom handwriting. Please note that during Valentine's Day or other high volume seasons, additional processing times will apply. Please refer to the shipping times on each product page when ordering for an estimate on when your order will arrive.

Standard shipping, included with every order, is USPS First Class postage. First Class parcels within the continental U.S. typically arrive at their destination within 7-10 business days of being shipped. Please bear in mind that transit times vary depending on your location – we are located in Michigan.

We do offer a few shipping upgrade options in our store for items shipping within the continental U.S.:

The Priority Shipping Upgrade (+ $4) ( will mean that your items should arrive within 3-4 business days, barring any unforeseen USPS delays.

The Express Shipping Upgrade (+ $22) ( is much more costly, but will guarantee that your items will arrive within 1-2 days.


For international orders, shipping times do vary, and can take 2-4+ weeks, depending on your location. Unfortunately we are unable to track packages once they leave the U.S., and standard international shipping times vary depending on the destination. Inklings is not responsible for hold-ups at customs, or postal delays that are outside of our control.

Should you wish for your international order to be rush shipped, please contact us for a custom quote. Priority International Shipping (6-10 business days) can range from $25 - $50 depending on your location and the weight of your package.

While it is rare, occasionally additional customs and duty fees do apply. Please note that Inklings is not responsible for any customs fees or duties incurred on international shipments, as these are the responsibility of the purchaser.


If your package is needed by a certain date, we ask that this be noted in your buyer notes, at which point we may recommend that you upgrade your postage in order to ensure your package arrives in time. For time-sensitive orders that are needed within two weeks, we typically recommend Priority Shipping to guarantee their arrival in time.

While we will do everything within our power to meet your timing, simply noting your event date in your buyer notes does not necessarily guarantee arrival by that date, as we do count on customers reviewing our shipping policies (also found in each listing description) before purchasing to confirm that they have selected the appropriate shipping method that will ensure that their package arrives before their event.

We are not responsible for items that arrive after the date of your event if you decide against upgrading your shipping, or place an order without informing us of your event date.

Should you be concerned that your package has become lost in transit or mis-delivered, please notify us and we will inquire with the postal carrier about its status. Though it is rare, if your package has indeed been lost in transit due to a fault of the postal carrier, please contact us and we will either issue you a refund or a store credit. Unfortunately at this time, the cards are only offered as shown. We have our cards professionally printed using a special process. This also allows us to offer products that are printed with soy-based inks on paper made from sustainably harvested trees! This process however prevents us from being able to alter the designs or print custom colors at this time. Sorry to disappoint!
