The card was sent out one day after the order (on Monday) was placed and arrived by the end of week. I like the organic feel of the paper and the beautiful letter press design. Only wished it could be a little bigger in size, such as 5"x7", but not sure if it's technically possible with letter press. One thing I noticed is that it takes some effort to write due to the texture of the paper. Overall satisfied. Look forward to hearing the response from the person that the card is sent to.

Fast delivery and beautifully wrapped. I love supporting the businesses that make up a city that I love so much and it felt so good to send these beautiful cards. After years of never sending thank you cards I will never go back. Also, my grandparents loved it!

About

Making the world more human, one card at a time.

We believe that handwritten communication is one of the most authentic interactions you can share with someone. In this very digital world, printed pieces and handwritten communication have become even more cherished and important. There are few things in life that can universally elicit a smile and a feeling of being loved. Receiving a handwritten note in the mail is one of them.

Each INK MEETS PAPER® card supports this belief in the handwritten and the handcrafted. The 100% cotton paper is thick, and the ink is mixed by hand. Each piece is printed one color at a time on an antique printing press-- all from our studio in Charleston, South Carolina.

---

The duo behind INK MEETS PAPER has always worked on various creative projects with one another. Running a business was a natural extension of that ability to work well with each other. INK MEETS PAPER initially started as a side/hobby project back in 2006 when Allison designed and printed custom stationery and invitations for friends and family. The love for the craft of letterpress printing came in 2008 with a printmaking class at REDUX, a local art gallery/studio in Charleston. After spending so much time behind the screen, it was refreshing to be so hands-on and involved in the physical process of creating a printed piece. That same year, they purchased their first (and currently only) printing press: a 1,000+ pound Chandler & Price.

With a passion for the handcrafted and the handwritten, the INK MEETS PAPER® greeting card line launched in 2010. Each card starts as a hand-drawn design that is digitized and made into a photopolymer plate for printing. Next, big stacks of 100% cotton paper are trimmed down on a vintage Chandler & Price Craftsman paper cutter. Ink is mixed by hand using color formulas in the Pantone guide, and each card is handfed, one color at a time, through the printing press. Printed pieces are then assembled by hand and packaged for delivery.
