    About

    Inky Fingers

Growing up I was always that kid with paint on my face and inky fingers, I come from a creative family and there was always something arty around to play with (even when I shouldn't have been playing with it).

I studied textile design at Loughborough university and graduated in 2001 with a BA(hons) in Multi Media textile design. It took me a long time to find my feet after university and I tried lots of things but it was only when I was being creative that I felt truly myself.

I started my first etsy shop in 2007 making felted bags, then moved onto felted animals but drawing was still my passion. I met a lovely lady called Gillian who showed me how to use a gocco printer and I was hooked! I fell in love with gocco... finally I had found a way to reproduce my drawings which suited me and I opened Inkmeup in 2009.

The more I played with my gocco machine the more I wanted to explore other printing methods and have so far experimented with mono prints, lino cuts, silk screen printing, etchings and printing onto ceramics... Inkmeup is still evolving and I am growing as an artist all the time, Inkmeup is very much my playground... and I am still learning new things all the time.
