The InkTub Story

Hello, I'm Holly! Welcome to the InkTub shop, and thank you for stopping by. I create art in beautiful Devon, on the edge of Dartmoor.

I've been on Etsy since 2017, lurking a little bit and waiting patiently for the right time to populate my shop. Skip forward 4 years, and I'm really very excited to finally have this up and running!

As a family we are always outdoors, mostly spending time on woody walks, on the moors or at the beach. I like to explore desolate landscapes on trail runs and surf when I'm lucky enough to get the time, so much of what I create is directly inspired our natural environment. I'm 50/50 artist/graphic designer which means that the art I make can often be a mix of play, combined with design disciplines.

The vibrant colours and unpredictability of ink bring a lot of joy to me and I am constantly discovering new ways to work with it. I keep using it again and again as a favourite medium, and experiment with bold, abstract and minimalist styles.

I keep the price of my original artwork reasonable so that you can present it in a beautiful frame. I am more than happy to offer framing advice, please just ask.

Commissions taken; please drop me a message!

You can see some of my previous commissions, paintings and drawing on my website - www.inktub.co.uk

I hope my artwork resonates, brings joy or maybe a feeling of a place or time. I love having feedback and seeing where my art ends up, so if you have photos of your pieces, feel free to hashtag #ink_tub

Dartmoor Environment Foundation - Charity Support
I am eager to play a small part in preserving and nourishing the very landscape that inspires artists and that we are all so very lucky to enjoy. Bi-annual donations from sales profits are made to the DEF in support of their drive to "Protect and restore Devon's natural beauty by funding local nature regeneration projects".

Frequently asked questions
Environmentally Conscious Packaging

My packaging materials are ready to reuse or recycle when they reach you! Some outer wrapping material may have already been used.

I try my best to avoid the use of plastic film wraps when I dispatch artwork. I wrap the art in kraft paper and package in either a strong, rigid cardboard envelope or postal tube.

Larger or fragile items with glass are packaged extremely carefully using strong paper-equivalent bubble wrap which can be repurposed with ease. Packages are sealed with paper tape. I aim to make my footprint as light as I absolutely can when I deliver your artwork to you. In some cases, the use of plastic wrap and/or bubble is necessary but kept to a minimum without compromising the safety of the artwork in transit.
