why "in plain sight" studio?

I love a good sunset or mountain as much as anyone, but there has always been something satisfying about finding unexpected beauty that's hiding in plain sight.

Photography invites me to slow down and take in my surroundings in a different way. When I choose to seek beauty, I'm much more likely to find it, and to experience the world as more beautiful.

I gravitate towards subject matter that's a bit rough around the edges, like peeling paint, rusty trucks, street art.

Photos are transferred by hand onto wood and canvas using gel medium and then sealed.

The transfer process naturally creates a bit of wear, which adds to the rustic and imperfectly beautiful aesthetic. It also means that each piece is unique.

Available in multiple sizes and all pieces come ready to hang on the wall!

Thank you for visiting!

Every day, may you find something beautiful or make something beautiful. <3

I grew up in Brooklyn, NY, but have called Portland, OR home since 2000. I love connecting to my creative self through photography and writing. Photography invites me to slow down, look closer, and seek beauty that I might otherwise miss.
