I'm Dasha, the designer, and artist behind The Inspired Artist Studio. As long as I remember, I created art, but then when I graduated from college, I stopped even though I majored in studio art. I started working as a UX designer and developer in a series of startups, and the job required all my creative energy. I didn't have time or inspiration to paint. Almost a decade passed, and I barely produced any paintings. Then, at some point, I realized that I'm lost and uninspired. I took a break from my regular job and traveled the world. And, I started doing what I always loved - paint. I also started a Youtube channel to document my art process and teach others about painting and crafting (check out my youtube channel here: youtube.com/theinspiredartist). Now that I paint with watercolors, I can't stop. I adore it so much and in the process of making painting as an integral part of my career.

Why Etsy? Why Digital?

I love the idea of handmade and Etsy is an extraordinary platform that allows artists and crafters like me to share our voices with the world. I love digital because I believe it embraces the future. I adore the idea of instantly downloadable purchases (yes, I'm a bit impatient), and as a DIYer, I want to print at home or decide where to print. Another perk is that it's affordable and gives the freedom to experiment with instant home decor without the commitment of an expensive art.

My shop also offers downloadable greeting cards that you can easily print and cut out with scissors. Since I was a little girl, I was obsessed with creating greeting cards and postcards. I believe that a DIY card surely shows a person that you care about them. That's why I offer various greeting cards that you can download, print and cut out. Also, have you ever made a grammatical mistake while writing your beautiful message? Been there, done that. No problem, print the card again, again, and again. Fancy or spice it up by adding glitter and other decorative elements to the card.
