Glass is a wonderful, magical, mystical medium. It is a liquid solid. It captures light, coloring it , making it divine. And it was the glass that captivated me, a mother, teacher and fiber artist. It was a dark time of my life, when my creative juices were at a low ebb. I needed a new path and glass showed me a different way. It was a dazzling, dangerous mystery.

I started with fire, learning how to melt and shape glass rods into beads, but I couldn't just stop with beads. I had to play with this new and exciting medium, finding new shapes, different ways of working. After purchasing a kiln to anneal beads I found a completely new way of working with glass, cold not hot. Cutting the hard glass, artfully arranging it, then letting the heat of the kiln fuse and transform it into something else.

My purpose, my intention, came after a time of experimentation and play. I made all sorts of different items, but lacked focus. Then I found my love, a part of my heart, in one of the smallest of my glass creations . I made worry stones and pocket crosses as just another thing to try, but found these small pebbles made greater ripples in the pond of life. This vehicle of encouragement, kindness and consolation spoke to me in a profound way.

This is my mission: to make glass gifts and jewelry that celebrates, encourages and commemorates.
