5 out of 5 starsSuch a lovely quilt, even more beautiful in person. It goes perfectly on my dining room wall. (I found a set of magnetic curtain tiebacks to hang it from a rod, as pictured.) We were worried about potential delays, but it arrived in approximately one month — which is a very reasonable timeframe at this time, and well worth the wait indeed.

5 out of 5 starsMore beautiful in person than the picture! I am so happy I purchased this. The quilting is exquisitely done, making this a true piece of art that I'll treasure. It has a lovely hand-written note on the back explaining it's provenance. It arrived all the way from Russia so quickly I was surprised!. It was carefully packaged and included a gift of a lovely quilted raven pin. Everything about this purchase was perfect! Again, I'm so happy.

Original art quilts for a stylish and cozy interior.
Hello! My name is Elena Folomeva, I live in St. Petersburg, Russia.
I began to do patchwork as far back as 1995, having discovered the beauty and variety of patchwork.
Since then, I went all the way from being an individual amateur quilter to becoming the leader of the training centre retail chain (2010-2011). At present, I am teaching at patchwork and quilting school in St. Petersburg, besides having written and published a book on patchwork.
For me, the main source of inspiration was, and is, the world around me. There is so much beauty around us! And it is up to us to notice it, to incorporate it in our work and so to convey it to the spectators.
I like such quilts that nave an inner sense, so to speak, implying some image or plot, an intrigue. Moreover, I love quilts that you can contemplate for a long time, discovering some new and interesting details or nuances as you look at them.
I love trying out things that are new to me – materials, techniques, patchwork blocks, and to combine new things with something that is already familiar, to obtain interesting results.
I have been the participant and awardee of many Russian and international exhibitions and festivals.
I am the member of the Russian Quilters` Association and SAQA.

By education I am a teacher mathematician. The main activity of patchwork was for me in 2008. I myself create designs and drawings. I find it more interesting, and even easier to invent and draw myself, than to copy someone else's scheme.

Care instructions
Vacuum cleaning, very gentle hand wash, dry cleaning preferable.
If not specified separately, the quilt can be ironed from the wrong side. Iron temperature - depends on quilt materials. For example, if it uses a veil, then the iron should not be very hot.
I advise, before hanging the quilt on the wall after receiving it in the post, sprinkle it with clean water and let it lie horizontal for 2-3 hours. This is necessary to get rid of the folds on the quilt.
How to hang on the wall
Large quilts have a sleeve for hanging on the back side. The bar is inserted into it (not included). You can attach the barbell directly to the wall, or you can hang it with cords or fishing line.
Small quilts in frames are hung on the wall like ordinary paintings: they have loops on the back.
Materials
I work with professional fabrics for patchwork, batik, veil, felt. Sometimes I paint cotton fabrics or lash nets myself.
