Announcement   Thanks for stopping by! I am now accepting Halloween 2017 orders, and I usually have all of the orders I can accept by mid to end of August, so PLAN AHEAD, and ORDER EARLY! This means that my wedding gown to christening gown conversion order queue is pushed out about 3 months. I can only consider your request if the date is for late October 2017 or beyond. Please check before ordering.

I specialize in dance attire and accessories (Irish or others), weddings, formals and costumes but I also do digitizing, embroidery, kids clothes, everyday, gifts...you name it, I'll sew it!

I LOVE CUSTOM ORDERS! - Once, long ago on Etsy, an artist could "seek out" interesting orders from people requesting custom items. Now you have to find me, and it looks like you have. Yay! I love custom orders. The stock items displayed in my shop are just a tiny sampling of my abilities. They are mostly things I have made for an entry at our county fair, or because I think they are beautiful and just could not resist. I have a "busy hands" issue, and NEED to create. I specialize in garments, but other projects will be considered, as well. Shoot me a convo here on Etsy, and we can discuss your project.

If you want to see projects I've done for others, check out my SOLD items. You may also visit my Facebook page to view my entire portfolio:

WOW! I now have a second Etsy shop. Check out my vintage sewing and crafting patterns at:

I was overjoyed when I received these beautiful Baptismal sets. They were made from my Wedding Gown which had been carefully preserved and tucked away for 32 years. I was so worried about finding someone to do this type of custom threadwork. I looked online at all the other designers but chose this shop because of the other conversions she had done, personal reviews and the answers she gave me on my initial questions. My worries were all for naught as I was amazed beyond belief at how beautiful they were. If you are looking for perfection, look no further than Irish Dancer Threadworks.

I want to start with the fact I'm in New York and Rebecca is in Illinois. So to send my dress her way was very nerve wracking. But after seeing her work, reading her reviews, and speaking with her, I got a really good feeling about her and her expertise. I spoke to numerous people, but really liked her. And I am so glad I chose her! I couldn't have asked for a more perfect conversion. I'm so happy with how the dress came out. It is breathtaking. Rebecca is the woman you want. She is extremely talented. I'm so excited for my daughter to wear this dress for her special day and excited this is something that can be handed down generation to generation. THANK YOU REBECCA!!!! YOU ARE AMAZING!

About

Why "Irish" and more???

I love Ireland, so much so that my husband and I got married there! Of course, as a seamstress, Irish Dance attire fascinates me. It is an ever changing style world - with extreme sewing challenges! There are many levels of construction from simple school skirts through highly detailed embroidered three dimensional competition dresses! My daughter has been Irish Dancing for 12 years, and I sew for both of our local dance schools. But even with two schools in town, that is not a full time job - so the rest of the time, I keep busy sewing just about everything else. Garments are my main focus and special occasion dresses are a joy to create, but I love sewing 18" doll clothes, stuffed animals, quilts, etc... I also knit, and dabble in other three dimensional creativity.

If you have a special project, ask me! I like new challenges, and try to be open and honest about what I think I can or can not undertake. I would love to work with you!

Thanks for stopping by!

I am a professional seamstress with many years of bridal shop experience. Currently, I work at our local Sewing Center, and in my own studio where I accept custom orders and teach sewing. Every day brings something new to work on!

My life is centered on a balance of family, honesty, loyalty, and friendship. My successes are measured through personal satisfaction in a job well done; being completely involved in something from the very beginning to the very end; creating something of value from next to nothing, and being true to my creative visions. That said, sewing is my main artistic outlet; but I also knit, and dabble in other three dimensional creativity.

Shipping
Shipping prices quoted include the fees that I have to pay to Etsy and PayPal. Many people forget that as sellers, we have quite a bit of overhead with these fees. The more expensive the item, the more we have to pay. Actual shipping will be determined by the item and the destination, and the urgency of when it needs to arrive. I will pick the most reasonable method possible. I reuse packaging materials whenever possible to reduce waste, but I always pack items in plastic inside of their shipping cartons, because of risk of dampness between here and there! International customers please inquire re: shipping before ordering. Thanks!
Refunds and Exchanges
No refunds given, but if you are not satisfied with an item, we can discuss possible corrective measures.
Additional policies and FAQs
Custom orders are my mainstay! I love doing one of a kind work. I believe in the old cliche: "Variety is the spice of life." I would love to discuss your unique project, so click the "request a custom item" button, and lets get started!
