Growing up in the late 1970s and early 1980s, I was fortunate enough to begin a collection of some of the most amazing action figures ever released. The Vintage Kenner Star Wars toys were a highlight of my collection, followed closely by Mego Comic Action Heroes, Super Powers, Transformers, anything Batman and Robin, Battlestar Galactica, Micronauts, and occasionally G.I. Joe.
I am currently a portrait and figure painter, working out of New York City. Nostalgia is an important theme to my work, and I am pleased to unveil a new series of images, drawing upon the memories associated with my childhood toys. These action figures were integral to my formative years, and I proudly have them on display all these years later. They are not only a collection, but they are a direct link to my childhood. My history in figure form.

5 out of 5 starsThese are absolutely beautiful. Such a unique gift for a Star Wars fan. I am actually keeping these myself and plan on displaying them. But they'd be a lot of fun to send out, too. The paper and printing is VERY high-quality.

Each card/illustration recreates the original Star Wars figure it's based on, and the back of each card shows every other card in the set (12 in all) - which is wonderfully reminiscent of the original action figures. The cards are printed on high quality, glossy card stock and arrived very fast. These are perfect for anyone who has a soft spot for the nostalgia of their youth, or for someone who just loves Star Wars. I had planned to actually use these - to mail them off as greeting cards, but now I think I might have to order a second set, so I can keep this one for myself!
